      Could I use lanolin instead of beeswax?

    • @trianna2008
      @trianna2008 3 года назад +1

      @@wandak9607 lanolin has a very different texture/effect than beeswax. In terms of texture, lanolin is closer to a softened Shea butter+oil+glycerin mix. It goes on like a sticky pomade and is all about adding moisture/slowing moisture loss. If you were to substitute, I think it would be a bomb substitute for the lecithin (and up to 1/2 the beeswax) instead. But I’ve personally never used lecithin- mostly going off of what I’ve seen/what I know of its chemical properties

    Great video and thank you for the recipe. I also like to apply a growth oil to my scalp. However, I would think that since the grease is only going on the strands, do all those ayurvedic herbs make a difference if you left it out of the recipe? The scalp needs the herbs the most.
    I also didn't think that you could put anything else on top of the grease sealant. Could you put the mousse before the sealant and still get good results?
