Wow! loved this one Kendall; enhanced by the lovely light musical it made me wish that I was there right now the taking of the breath away of the height and awesome view. How could anyone ever forget such a sight . Thanks again for a pleasant afternoon. I'll be watching this one again.
Were you able to walk across the whole bridge? Everyone who is able should do it at least once. Looked like you had to contend with the summertime fog. When I walked the bridge, it was during the month of November and it was crystal clear. It was a balmy 52° 😂 but it was so stunningly clear. I’ve been to San Francisco in the summertime where temperatures, in the daytime, were in the 50s. Brrrr… Thank you for the history and tour of this San Francisco landmark.
I just discovered your channel ... and, how appropriate it is to find this installment. I live in the Richmond district of San Francisco, which is the first neighborhood that you come to, as you drive into the city, and through The Presdio. I was among a group of neighbors who celebrated the May, 1987 anniversary. We walked to the bridge, leaving at 4 AM. The "walk" was set to begin at 5:30, but when we arrived, the crowd was already surging, and the California Highway Patrol decided to let it start much earlier. Even at that hour, we were on-and-off the span, before it became what engineers feared was dangerous. I've been around the Golden Gate Bridge, all of my life. It still remains a joy to live so close to a beautiful, functional and historic landmark.
I love hearing about personal connections. Thanks for sharing your experience and thanks for watching. I hope you'll find a few other videos you like. I recently did one on Fort Point that was fun to make.
@@adventureswithkendall I'll look at that ... thank you. The Presidio, after decades of serving as an US Army base, became a National Park, in the late '90's. The updating, to a more park-like accommodation has been amazing. There are a number of commercial offerings, in hotels, eateries, museums, etc.. One of the 2 major approaches to the GG Bridge (that's we call it), was retrofitted wider lanes, and covered into tunnels for streamlined flow.. Above the tunnels, new parkways/walkways have been beautifully designed for walking, picnicking and taking in the beautiful surroundings. And, everything has been done to recognize the history of the Presidio, and the waters of the "Golden Gate," between San Francisco and Marin counties ,,, a significant waterway during the "gold rush," and the establishment of California.

I'm so excited Kendall I've been following you for a while. My husband just met you at the sugar pine railroad today and he said you're going to come out to our historic Park. I couldn't be more excited.
Another great video! The bridge is quite a sight to see. I've seen it a few times but haven't had a chance to cross it. Funny how one person says it can't be done. The other says, hold my beer, watch this! LoL
Kendall , as always you have provided me with a great learning experience. I just love your channel ❤️. I actually saw in the video that one of the ferry’s was named after Fresno California where I am from. Looking forward to seeing your next project 👍🏻

I was only able to walk part of it as we were checking out other places like Fort Point the same day.

My favorite place at the Presidio is the Disney Family Museum. I plan to do more on the Presidio on my next trip to the Bay Area.
Always enjoy your posts

You should. Yes, I can see why the one said it couldn't be done. It's an engineering marvel for sure.
