Hello Cryptocito, this video has taught me a lot, thank you very much , have the following questions? 1. Using COSMOS Interchain Security, what are the total projects? Except for the known Quicksilver, Gravity Bridge, JUNO (possibly), .... 2. Can you give examples of the real differences between Interchain Security V1, V2, and V3? 3. In the future, COSMOS HUB will import Interchain Security. Whether other projects with large market value can also play the role of Interchain Security, such as Terra and Crypto.
Hey! Thanks for the feedback. 1) As of my understanding, its up to governance to decide which chains will become consumer chains. Gregory Landua from Regen Network also said they will be using interchain security. So I expect to see a lot more chains implementing is to additionally secure their chain through the Hub 2) Check this article by Billy: blog.cosmos.network/interchain-security-is-coming-to-the-cosmos-hub-f144c45fb035 3) Yep. IC will be open source so any large cap chain can use it and I think that's also welcome & bullish for the Cosmos ecosystem. However, I think that only the Cosmos Hub will predominantly focus on being a security source, while Terra for instance is more of a DeFi ecosystem.
We do have an interchain standard and shared security on kusama and polkadot. Its called XCMP or XCM. You can send between karura bifrost moonriver statemine. That all works. Just the ecosystem have been slow to develop outside moonbeam and moonriver. Bifrost works good with zenlink dex. Karura and acala been slow but shiden astar has been working a while and are growing fast. Shiden has had standard protocol since like december. We are starting to see growth now in polkadot kusama ecosystem and we can end these massive bridge hacks for 600m dollars ever month or two.
Cosmos is actually a great project. Honestly the atom is useless the token creates no value. Everything is tried but there is simply no demand for ATOM - unfortunately
Totally different concepts , CALESTIA is working on scalability whereas shared security will allow teams to spin up their own blockchain and leave security to atom and it’s validator set
@@Tintin-gv9ir Celestia is working on a data availability layer shared between multiple blockchains. Blockchains pay for security without the need to build its own set of validators. This is exactly the cosmos hub interchain security value proposal.
they actually working with cosmos : We’re also working with the Interchain Foundation to bring optimistic rollup support to the Cosmos SDK, so that developers can build blockchains with the Cosmos SDK that use Celestia for consensus, instead of having to use Tendermint to deploy a new proof-of-stake network. This will turbocharge the inter-blockchain communication (IBC) protocol, as Celestia will provide a secure shared consensus layer that Cosmos zones can use and rely on, allowing zones to communicate with each other using IBC without zones needing to trust each other.
blockchains from any network can deploy or utilize Celestia for data availability and consensus to tap into its shared security. What being a part of Cosmos does allow for is that the Celestia main chain has the option to connect to IBC and communicate with other IBC-enabled zones.
Proved that Cosmos chains are architected in a way to ensure safety over liveness, which means that the chain halted as a bug in the cosmwasm version was being exploited. Devs had time to diagnose and restart the chain without major damage. Actually cool to see but definitely would have been cooler if it didn't happen in the first place
Can other chains in the cosmos ecosystem provide interchain security? It sounds like they can theoretically. If so, how would atom accrue value if any other chains on the cosmos ecosystem can do the same thing?
I agree how ever Atom is the OG POS interoperable chain, if they execute on the inter chain security the TAM is huge, this plus Liquid staking to help the tokenomics. Plus cherry on top bAtom for Anchor borrowing and also bAtom for buying liquidated bAtom. This year looks promising for Atom though I do understand your concerns
That will be a game changer for the whole Cosmos!! A question is when Interchain Security comes live will have to undelegate or it will work already as it is with already delegated Atom?
If you gain rewards from other chains based off of the validators leasing that security, id assume (not sure) that all you’d have to do would be redelegate to the validator that you want to receive specific rewards from.
The Cosmos Network is brilliant. Discovered it last year in March and moved 80% of my portfolio there. I just can't see this fail
thanks man!
I remember this video coming out, and now I’m hear and the Proposal just went up for vote on Feb 21st. 2023. Let’s get it! ICS for the win
People really don’t understand how big shared security can be. Great video as always!
Great stuff thanks!! Ethan Buchman co-founder of Cosmos is on The Defiant -Defi Podcast
Thanks for the great information cryptocito!
Big part of why I hold so much ATOM
Like always great Video. Thx for updating.

Thanks, will try to add this in the future
Thanks for ur vids. Greetings from France
This is great news!!!

Thanks for the update I'm quite new to cosmos but liking it alot so far
Good to hear
Thanks Mr.Cito
Love this videos very informative, thanks for making these.
Nice break down. Gave me a better understanding.
Staking Atoms since 3/20
Loving your intro music. GG.
Thanks 😁
Thanks hope ICS plays out and other potential ICS give atom room
value..as usual. thanks a bunch, bro
My pleasure!
Good stuff. Thanks
AVAX is building that too.. with SUBNETs
good intro man
Bro. I just want to say. You make me happy. - Uh Oh It's Berto
good explanation, I had no idea what it was.

Is xcmp live yet?
They should have made Atom like Rune use case
can you cite security comparison or robustness that led you to believe it's one of the most secure chains in the crypto-verse?
When is cosmostation going to be par with Keplr
I see this as competition to Avalanche's subnets, any thought on this?
great video
Thanks for the visit

Wen theta upgrade?
98% portfolio in Cosmos 🚀
Thank god you diversified your risk with the other 2%
what's the difference between Celestia value proposal & Interchain Security for the Cosmos hub?
