Yeah I think they can look at most of data footprints, the newer the vehicle more data is left behind. It may not have exactly what cleared but they can tell how many times it's been cleared.

After testing many of these units from different vendors the best battery tester is a mechanical 100 amp load tester. With a simple heating element. Always works and it doesn’t guess if the battery is good as the battery has to prove it’s good.

it depends on the make and model, for all cars its has mileage since last cleared.
