Going viral and having those quick dopamine rushes are so harmful in my opinion to a humans mental health I can write a whole paper about it tbh

This has actually inspired me to write a paper about something like this next year for one of my modules so thank you for this comment ☝🏾

What a lot of people don't seem to realise is exactly what you said: short form and long form videos (also depending on your content type/niche, of course) have very different target audiences! I've learned from several creators that going viral with shorts actually hurt their long form performance.
Thanks for always being honest about these things. You tend to often be the last drop of encouragement I need to keep going 💖

Ngl I started watching this channel more because of your talking videos like this one , they are hilarious and make my day , even my boyfriend joined watching 😅 You are also the only RUclipsr that makes sims videos not boring AT ALL and I love them ❤ Keep up the great work.

Thank you for your brutally honest advice! :3 It’s been awesome starting my art channel. I’m already seeing improvement from one video to the next. I still have a ways to go, but I’m super motivated✨

I treat my shorts as flyers to promote my long form videos. I think of it like this. Asking someone to spend 30 seconds to check out a video is more appealing then asking them to spend 20 mins to watch a video. Its like how restaurants give free samples. If you like how it taste you can buy the full meal 🤷🏽‍♂️

The brutal honesty is what I'm here for! I've got a question for you though. For someone starting out on youtube, is it better to start a new account/channel entirely or to use one that you've already had. I started uploading to a channel I've had for a few years just a month ago. Should I have made an entirely new channel? Not sure if that affects anything or not but I feel like I'm not growing much because of that.

Oh and I actually do have a question, very small channels/just starting with YT, what is most indicative of a video "doing well" - views, watchtime, comments, likes, a combination, or does none of this matter too much in the beginning? I do like analysing stuff. Maybe a bit too much.

Growth in general. More views/subs/engagement, perhaps feeling more confident. It depends on your goals.

What are the odds that I watched your other video for the first time literally yesterday haha. The brutal smackdown in this video was glorious. Some of my viewers say they love your content so I started watching your stuff (no pun intended) and sims content. Keep slaying Satch!!

Do listen to his advice. Im not even interested in the subject because i dont want to have a platform. I litterally just watched the video because i enjoy him as a person so he can talk about anything for me to find the video entertaining

Literally what i tell my friends who ask for content creation advice. They dont wanna believe me when i tell them tiktoks wont make them money to quit their jobs. Meanwhile, my husband's youtube account has been paying all our bills and my friends are jealous i can be a stay home mom without needing to work. They just dont listen. 😂😅

Both your previous video and this video have great advice. I started posting content about a month ago and I'm super happy with how things are going so far :) been having a lot of fun making videos.
I'm coming for your gig with the lifesims lol! I've gotten a lot of positive engagement but I'll be honest, I am nervous for those inevitable haters and trolls lol
Edit:Question. When you create your lets play videos do you create a rough outline for how you want the video to go, or do you just wing it once you're in game? Obviously there is a general idea going in, like planning a sims 4 island letsplay with the different rules and whatnot but do you try and script in funny moments?
