First off, your touch is impeccable I’m serious when I say that the best guitarists are the ones we don’t see in the limelight, the ones who adore the craft, and you sir, adore this craft. Just picked this exact guitar up today from my local shop and it’s spot nice. 389 pounds is fucking ridiculous for how much you get with this anniversary line. Just subscribed
I went in to guitar center yesterday looking for a Yamaha Pacifica. They had none! I grabbed this guitar at random and was floored! The neck was amazing! I'm stunned at the price! I have an old school Chanel, a MIM strat and an American made Tele. This vintage Strat is great! 🎉
Beautiful demo. I kick myself for selling my Fender Bandmaster head and 6x10 cab in the late 1980s. There's nothing like a classic Fender tube amp. That guitar sounds AMAZING. A lot of tone is, obviously, in your fingers. You have such a lovely touch and your dynamics are glorious accents. Thank you kindly for sharing!
just bought one in sonic blue, wow what a vintage retro vibe, love it. totally surpassed my expectations in QC, feel and sound. what a great buy, definitely a keeper.
I'm a new owner of the exact same guitar too, in seafoam green. Not a fan of the matte finish. But I just **LOVE** this seafoam green color, so it doesn't really matter. The roast maple neck is absolutely beautiful and easy to play with the satin finish (no sticky varnish). I also love the "aged" hardware which is a nice touch for an entry level guitar. I'll soon change the pickguard for a red tortoiseshell one and maybe upgrade the tuners. But WOW, I was astonished by the setup of the guitar out of the box. Sure, the tremolo was hardtailed (won't really move out of the box unless you do the floating setup), but the action/intonation was absolutely perfect and I have literally no complaints at all about this guitar. Really, really nice for the price. I own a 52 Fender AVRI Tele (which is 4x the price !) and I must say I was more impressed by the Squier compared to the Fender !
Looks and sounds amazing! I'm so glad you are pleased. The specs say a vintage-tinted maple neck finished with a tinted satin urethane. Looking forward to good fun ahead!
Thx. Id like to hear more neck position SRV, Hendrix. Esp open E string. Slight crunch from pedal if have it. No compression all all that. Reverrb, a little crunch tone. Nice set up.
Bought mine 3 days ago. Actually, I traded in my Epiphone gold top single p90 Jared James for it. Lost $150 on the deal, but the quality of the Squier BURIES that Epi POS. I’m astounded. Might upgrade the bridge, it’s so nice.
The ones I played had fret sprouts bad. The neck feels a lit like the 80s Squier for me. Very nice rolled edges (i do this to my guitar's that are not painted) and a good shape to it. The body of one of them had a bad cut, like you could see the imperfections. Its a tinted neck, when it scratches, its obviously not roasted. Nice color though.
Mine os hidden somewhere in the house. Not allowed to unbox it before my birthday in a couple of weeks. To be honnest, il tried it to make sure everything was ok with it. Sounds great. Darker than my MIM player and more mellow. After a while my wife said it was time to box it😢. See it later😂
I ordered 3 from Thomann. The first one had a small crack in the handle. the second seemed to have been cut with a knife at the rounded edges. The third has a good finish, I kept it, but the most surprising thing is the difference in weight between the models. A difference of 700 grams (1.54324 pounds) between the first and the third. Is it a good sign to have more weight?
Tbh u dropped lucky... I had a seafoam jazzmaster squier and it was almost unplayable .. the trem was shockingly unstable and boy the tuners weren't holding anything ... ahaha ... I replaced the tuners n floating bridge n put 10 's then i parted with it ... oh the maple neck was a very low grade wood n me fingers suffered a great deal ... u always get what u pay for and these 40 th anniversary go heavily on looks primarily ... maybe with a strat there might be less to go wrong than a jazzmaster ... I agree totally on Sire ... u get a lot more for what u pay for ... i own an s7 ...l7 .... 2 v7 basses and a v10 Marcus Miller ... all good with next to nothing troubles ... maybe the jack sockets on the basses are not too good but here u go ... Nice touch btw
It just looks junky to me. I thought I liked it until I saw it in person. If I'm going to buy something in that price range I would spend a little more for a classic vibe.

Congrats. How much would you say it weighs?
Beautiful demo.

I have a hot rod Deville tube amp with 4 10s... heaven....

Me too (I got the vintage sunburst).

God! It sounds soo heavenly.. you play so well!
Nnniiiiiicccceeee playing. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Squier 40th Anniversary Stratocaster Vintage.

Great guitar, great playing. Your touch and style can really pull great tone out of your gear. Keep the vids coming!
Tried one and fell in love. It should be here by atuesday.
Great playing and review
Just ordered one!

That makes sense - it’s not as deep and dark a colour as my Charvel caramelised neck or the Sire S7s I’ve seen! V comfy to play though 👌

Cool pickguard really brings out the xolor

This one can beat the classic vibe series?
Sounds just as good as any CS strat. Great.

That’s my kind of colour!!!
Brightly coloured guitars are the way forward! 😉🎸👍

May I know the bridge size, just to be sure that it is compatible with a Fender pickguard. Thanks
Nice!! 💚 two people we both know now want one!! 😂
Haha, excellent - I must be an influencer! 😂

Hi Andy! Are you still satisfied with your Squier 40th anniversary after 6 months?
Yeah, it’s great fun! I am planning a few more videos with it soon….
@@AndyWattGuitar Thanks for your answer. Very very nice guitar indeed.
Is it heavy?
its easily as nice as the 699 mexican player strat this is a steal
Everyone knows that Squiers have a narrow bridge guage - right?
No I didn't. Narrow as in what dimension? Width?
@@mikeb5372 Yes string spacing. I am going by my Squier Classic Vibe strats.
@@ernielamprell4532 thanks!
Would a 6 screw Vega trem fit correctly do you think?
These are 299 on Musicians friend. If i sell my Harley Benton Fusion T i will buy one. Or trade for one of these or the 50s CV. Love these!!!!
The "sunburst" one is $284. It's in the mail!
@@ralfybaby awesome !!!!
It is never the guitar in the hands. It is the hands on the guitar. Which is more than obvious here.
Squires better models are good enough to gig
see it in person looks like crap!
Please explain.
