same. thought it’s not my fault, my biggest regret will be not being alive during the same time as audrey. my most favorite human being and I wasn’t even alive to breath the same air as she did. what I wouldn’t give to go back in time and meet her, to shower her with love and support. unfortunately, now we’re stuck with vulgar and classless “celebrities.”
Audrey Hepburn certainly seemed to have come into her own during the 1980s, probably due to her having gotten out from under a bad marriage. In her 50s, she retained elements of her gamine youth and charm but there is much more there--life experience and the freedom to have fun. She became UNICEF's champion during this decade and this was probably her undoing. She was so devoted that she used all of her strength to call the world's attention to the plight of starving and suffering children. In 1993 she gave the last full measure of her devotion when she died much too young at the age of 63.
Lisa Brooks Totally agree......Even though she looks stunning as usual along the 80s...there's some sparkle in her face, her eyes, her words, her attitude.....we had briefly seen in Breakfast at Tiffany's and when "the Princess" had it her way in Roman Holiday. Such a splendid "third act" she could have given to us on screen....but she devoted her last years to her humanitarian labour. God bless her for that much happiness she brought to our lives.
Among the classiest women of the 20th century . voted amongst the top 5 female actors of all time hollywood. Her performances never failed to startle you in the movie theater ..the tv ..
wait you have never seen him in films like Zulu or .... The Italian Job? you can't be a true fan of Michael Caine then , in zulu he was around 25 years old when he did the film Zulu
@@michaelhawkins7389And he was (and still is) handsome. Tall and blonde. Now he’s at the age where they call him distinguished. He’s just retired from acting at 90 after 160 films. He did a great film about 5 years ago called King of Thieves. He played a long time crook (true story) who with a gang robs a safety deposit box business in London called Hatton Garden. He’s quite menacing in it. He and his wife Shakira have been married for 50 years.
Let me love her more and more..the way she show up her happiness is lovely.. she smile sincerely and I can't find this kind of smile in Hollywood actresses today
I can see why all comment section bubbling about Odri. Yes, she is Legend, greatest, purest. But can we also appreciate Cane speech? It is accurate, subtle and, after all this time, actual. What a great man!
Awww. Poor thing. She aged so much from her illness. I just came here from her accepting the Cecile B. Demile award in 1990. The difference of 6 years is huge. I hope she is in peace now❤️
@@cinnamon709yeah you are right,. In 1992 at age 62, she developed belly pain and her doctors found a cancer in her appendix called pseudomyxoma peritonei. This is an extremely rare cancer that starts as a small polyp in the appendix. The cancer cells produce large amounts of mucous, called mucin, that slowly accumulate in the appendix until it bursts. The cancer cells and mucous then spread throughout everything inside the belly to cause pain, constipation or diarrhea, loss of appetite and extreme tiredness. Hepburn returned to her home to Switzerland and spent her last days at home. On January 20, 1993, she died in her sleep.
Nobody knows what causes this horrible cancer, as there are no known genetic, familial or environmental factors. We do not know if severe food deprivation in childhood increased Hepburn's risk for dying from cancer later in life.
@Kai McCook ooppss... sorry i meant michael caine back in 2 years as you can see i didn't know what his name was so i said guy with glasses but thanks anyways

1984 Michael Caine : - I don't know what is more important to me this minute? Is it because I'm getting a statuette, or is it because I'm cuddling with Audrey.
Ideal woman. Michael is the perfect socialite. He and the BAFTA mask are one face. Everything is logical. P. S. Одри, я на коленях перед Вами, милая девочка.
Interesting how Michael speaks in a fairly posh accent here, with the cockney mixed down low. Since many years he talks in interviews with more or less his real cockney accent....
Audrey was such a kind classy lady
What a smile! and not put on at all like some today. If Im were Michael Caine, I wouldn't ever wash my lips again.
She was so so beautiful beautiful 😍.
@@joanie3452 her dress too 0:44
she was a skank
I think Audrey Hepburn visited us from a kinder dimension.
I’d like to think she went back to that dimension, where she’s meant to be. she was far too good for this cruel world.
she did
Same with MJ and princess Diana
well said. quite true. she was the personification of loveliness
I don't think i could have put it better myself.
Audrey is that elementary school teacher we all love and remember
Great comment. She beats them all!!
I am jealous of anyone who even touched her shoulders.

@@SuicideboysGrey59 I fell in love with Audrey as a teenager in the late 90s. I'd often cry that I wasn't alive 50 years sooner. She was an angel.
"I'll take you home with it" LOL
slick line
It was the 80's, but Audrey's gown could still be worn today. Very timeless, very classy. That's Audrey for you!
get over yourself - she was a fool
Michael Caine was absolutely speechless after Audrey words! So funny!
He can only speak when it's scripted for him

Her undoing was NOT UNICEF it was the chain smoking that led to the cancer
That's you said the right thing. She left us too soon...!!!!
don't try analysing someone you don't even know
she was probably as horrible as anybody
and 63 is NOT young

yes but the cancer was at the near end stage when diagnosed. It was assumed to have been growing slowly over approximately 5 years.

When celebs had class.
What an absolute sweetheart she was.
Receiving the award from Audrey Hepburn is a second prize.
Those were the days, no kissing up to studios, just thank you good night. Great actor, loved him in Hannah & her Sisters
Two legends.
If you're ever down in a funk, watch one of her movies. Many of them will make you laugh and fall in love with this amazing lady.
The look on Audrey's face at 0:40 when she realises she forgot to hand the award to Michael! Of course the two played it off superbly.
An angel
That gorgeous blue dress. Such a classy lady.

Also if you get a chance to see California Suite, he plays Maggie Smiths gay husband and she is up for an Oscar, just brilliant.
Even in her older years, Audrey was more naturally beautiful than her contemporaries in their 20s and 30s.
