I remember watching a rerun of this TV remake of "The Love Bug". Even when I was little I thought it was kind of mean spirited in comparison to the old Disney film it's being based off of. Also, it's an interesting oddity how these screener tapes have trailers for mature (re: non family-friendly) films.
You have to remember this was a screening cassette for video retailers and not the general video buying public. Of course, on a family feature, they wouldn't show trailers R or PG-13 films on retail copies. Yeah, it is kinda weird when you think about it.

I find it really bizarre that a VHS of a G rated films would contain trailers for R and PG-13 films.
