As far as I and many many scientists know, there is no evidence of CO2 influence on the climate. Just hypotheses. Johan Rockström is a political professor , NOT a climate professot. This is only politics.
He is a Prof of Natural Resource Management, and his work has been about climate. There is no politics in his work. Do facts not play a role in your comments? Also, effect of CO2 on climate has been documented in a few thousand journal articles. Again, don't facts matter to you?

I just looked Johan Rockstrom online. He has a phd in ecology. This is not the same as saying that he is a political professor. He has a relevant background. To say that there is no evidence of CO_2 influence on the climate when the vast majority of climate scientists say so is a bit like putting your head in the sand. I assume you know that heat absorption goes up when the carbon dioxide concentration goes up. Aks yourself honestly...how could going from 280 parts per million CO_2 to 408 parts per million not have an impact on climate given this well known property of carbon dioxide? I used to be sceptical of the alarms the scientists were ringing. But a careful analysis of the claims on both sides have lead to me to the conclusion that the scientists are right, and that disaster is on the horizon is on the horizon if we do not act in a timely manner. Do you really want more coal plants, more destruction of this environment which sustains your life more than your paycheck. Paycheck without air to breath or food to sustain you will not do you much good, and the way the planet is scorching overall, all of humanity will suffocate or starve if we do not drastically cut our pollution... which is tightly intertwined with CO2 emissions, even if you deny it.
