I love Damar Hamlin but it always seems like he's the one thats in the wrong place when they give up big passing plays. Edwards just has to take the year off? Mcdermottt did the same thing with Poona Ford last year. Put him on timeout. He did the same thing to Elam! Take a first round pick and flush it down the toilet.
Josh having no picks hasn’t translated to anything. Logic would suggest less turnovers=more possessions=better offensive numbers…but that hasn’t been the case. Dude has had multiple turnovers in double digit wins and zero turnovers in losses so it never really mattered with him. It’s so overblown that even nerdy analytics would back that up.
Cooper has consistently been better than Diggs his whole career on balance. Diggs wasn't scraping top 20 league wide at WR prior to arriving in Buffalo. Cooper has been top 10-15 every year of his career. Diggs was also never a great fit on the boundary vs in the slot, but he had to because Buffalo never really invested in boundary deep threats after John Brown outlived his usefulness in that regard after 2019.
@@jcZo23 he also had far worse QBs throwing to him than Diggs ever had, yet he put up better numbers than Diggs on balance if you factor out the Buffalo years. Diggs was never sniffing even the top 20, let alone top 5 without going to Buffalo. I mean just look at their 2023 numbers to get a true microcosm of the difference between the two. Cooper had 100 more yards on like 50 fewer targets, despite catching passes from Joe Flacco off his couch and Watson. He's also historically got a higher average depth of rather than Diggs as well as more contested catches, which is going to affect the "hands" related stats you and so many others are citing. He's also got the 2nd most 200+ yard games in NFL history, only 1 behind the likes of Megatron. Diggs has none. You put Cooper in place of Diggs over that span, give him the same amount of targets, and he does more with them full stop.
@@peterwilson4865 Dak Prescott was not a far worse QB in any way & he was never a top 5 WR.. Diggs is better than Cooper, I know you delusional homers think anyone who comes to the Bills is the "best" but he's not
@@jcZo23 😂 Oh please dude. Delusional homers with stats to back up our claims. You and a couple others are the resident Chicken Littles I guess by comparison because obviously every player from another team is awesome and Buffalo is terrible by proxy. Carroll has been a top 10-15 WR his entire career, with at least half of that spent in the 6-10 range. Diggs has 3 seasons where he was arguably top 10 at most, which were all spent with Allen and with a minimum of one 160 targets a year. Last year he wasn't even top 20 and like almost 60th in terms of per target efficiency. Dak is and always has been pretty mid.
I think getting rid of Milano would honestly be in our best interest, Dude's been hurt in some way shape or form the last 4 seasons. Only 2 were significant I believe but still it's clear the game he plays is physical and Idk I think he's too banged up at this point too sustain even a full season. He's a playoffs only LB I guess. Meaning it's too risky to play him early in the year for fear of injury, so you're best bet in utilizing him the best is saving him all season for end of year/Playoffs, but by then who knows the dude who was playing the position all year week in and week out could be better at that point being as they played the whole year. When Milano comes back how efficient is he even going too be? After having been out for over an entire year can you really just snap back straight into playoff level football at the end of the year? I'd prefer if Bernard just stays in for him, unless theyd use both of them.
Diggs definitely produced, though he was obviously unhappy at the end, and keeping him wasn't worth it. Cooper represents an upgrade, all things considered.
Diggs last season was very unproductive his numbers was down he kept taking himself out of games diggs shrunk I. The playoffs when bills needed him the most after all that crying about getting the ball more to help the bills win then diggs shit the bed in the biggest moment he was dead weight the last season in buffalo
I think every team should figure out a way to put your best talent out there. When Milano comes back and we are playing let’s say a team like Baltimore or Seattle. I would not Ind having 3 linebackers out there more often.
I’m sure it’s too soon to know but do you think we will draft another receiver? I know Keon Coleman is great but I don’t know if he’ll be a WR1 ever, so do you think that’s something they could try to draft for?
They should absolutely draft a couple more boundary capable deep threat guys that can separate in this draft. Shakir is going into the last season of his rookie deal. Cooper would need an extension. Samuel can't really be counted on as an impact guy until he shows it. Those are the only 3 guys under contract next year including Coleman. Coleman can absolutely be a WR1, but assuming he will in year 2 would be stupid from a team building standpoint. I don't have a problem extending Cooper for a couple years if the price is right, but they need to quit neglecting the position in the draft. Get dynamic separators with deep speed and fill out the depth chart to keep it cheap and athletic and to avoid having to pay free agent prices for guys like Samuel.
@@peterwilson4865 yeah I guess I look at Nabers or BTJ who I wanted us to trade up for in the draft and I think like will Coleman ever be a #1 and could we draft a guy who could come in and be a #1 right out of college
@@Inside.The.Football Coleman's upside is in that tier though. He's not in the mold of prospect as those guys having elite deep speed and separation, but he's an absolute physical specimen with basically the Mike Evans starter kit of tools. The key will be to stock that room with positionless guys that do separate and have deep speed. Get a couple more Shakir types in the mix and it'll be one of the best WR groups in football
I really thought that Willam’s and specter buckled down and really started hitting Henry in that second half of the game against the ravens it was clearly bothering him . If they had started hitting like that early he would’ve not been as affective . And that needs to be the mentality going forward against any team .
Matt Milano and Terrell Bernard are elite linebackers yes .... But both at 6-0 and max 220 lbs .... Lots of good they are injured on the sidelines.... and this will always be an issue with the way this defense is structured.... Undersized LBs and Tarron Johnson behind undersized DTs .... Sorry but we're calling AJ Klien for the playoffs again .... Its called Physics
The Bills undersized Linebackers is by design. The NFL is a passing game and smaller faster Linebackers is absolutely the philosophy of the Bills Defense. Bernard has outperformed Edmonds in every meaningful metric for a Linebacker. And he has done so at a fraction of the cost of Edmonds.
I’m sorry not all modern NFL linebackers are build like Ray Lewis. Big bulky hard hitting LBs are being phased out of the league because it’s a passing dominant league. Running is option #2 for almost every team in the NFL.
@rj2282 You are absolutely correct. Smaller, faster, more flexible linebackers are exactly what is required in the NFL. However, this approach requires at least one very effective defensive tackle that will almost always require a double team of blockers. Ideally the DT will tie up the center and guard.
@@nealanthony3482 what I'm saying is if we go with safety sized linebackers ... We should build our DTs like the Titans .... Two guys that require double teams both.... Not 280 lb ED Olivers.... It's an undersized interior....
Diggs will never be the type of WR I miss the good old days, because he’s not a once a generation athletic mismatch like Ja’Marr Chase, DK Metcalf, Tyreek Hill, AJ Brown - guys who can’t get your hands on. Diggs is a high-level possession WR.
Absolutely disagree that Ray Davis can be a feature back, and do not want the Bills to fall into using him that way. He’s a breather back because he does not have an upper tier athletic profile.
Well, what was the last thing Stefon Diggs or one of the last things he will be remembered for. The great pass that he dropped in the Kansas City playoff game. He makes a catch the whole dynamics of the game changes, but he didn’t so thanks a lot Diggs. You’re better off where you are. You can go be a crybaby in Houston and you could be a cancer in the locker room there. Cooper is a much better fit for this team. He’s very humble person unlike digs who is very loud.
I would say and I think Josh would agree he’s thrown ints. The defense didn’t make the play at the times. He should have 2-4 in my opinion. Glad he doesn’t tho
Way too much was made of the interceptions last season (mostly by those who don't like Josh). So long as he makes wise decisions, that number will come down.
Cracks me up when people say I played at a high-level. Did you play in the NFL because that’s a high-level if you didn’t then you didn’t I played college baseball I don’t walk around saying I played baseball at a high-level grow up. Nobody cares. Second point and Elum this is the same guy who when things go bad on offense we blame McDermott and when they go right, it’s great job by Joe Brady when things go wrong on defense it’s McDermott when things go right it’s way Togo Babbage. The guys who haven’t gotten over the Elum pic but completely discarded the Bedford pick the shake my head and first round pick yada yada but they picked up Christian Bedford. He’s a hell of a corner so act like he’s the first round pick and move forward. No, I can’t. I can’t do it. This is what you’re focused on if they were a bad team even would play because we’re too worried about criticism along with losing instead they’re good they win. He might not be a good fit. We have better options. Who the hell still thinking about this?
i like cooper, but not for $20 mil.(maybe for 1 year) just draft another WR rd 1 or 2. egbuka, anderson, prather, bond and wells all seem like good options
So just draft a receiver that might be good in 2 years. And not use that pick on many other needs. Or sign a proven receiver that they know will help the team immediately 🤔
@@Corbots80it's not a binary choice like that. They need to draft 2 whether they sign Cooper or not. Shakir is a free agent after 2025. Coleman is so far making an impact as a rookie. Get guys with dynamic traits and coach them up. Allen will elevate them. They need to restock the coffers for the long term. They have shitloads of 2025 draft capital, so drafting for other needs will still be possible. They should absolutely draft a WR no later than the 2nd round whether they resign Cooper or not. Investing premium cap money in 30+ WRs isn't a common winning formula.
@@Corbots80 ??? last i checked, our rookie is our leading receiver. i don't think he needs 2 years. we also have a lot of players who need to be re-signed and not a lot of cap. i'm fine with a 1 year deal while our next WR developes but i'd rather the money go to our youth
Na he's not worth that at his age, they need to stop being hoarders woth picks & give up a 1st for Higgins or someone of his caliber for the Wr1 moving forward.. Keon will never be thay, it's not his skillset & he's not explosive, they need a deep threat who takes the top off of defenses, still lacking that
For a 5th???? This is a way for the Titans to say F you to the bills for just kicking their ass .... Seriously???? Adams and Cooper for a 3rd and they give Hopkins up for a 5th?
Kc can get any wr they want idc I'm more worried about Chris Jones more than anyone else on there team but when ur qb has 6tds and 8ints they had to do something
Mike Edwards is better than Hamlin, Poona Ford was a beast in Seattle, he's been a beast in LA this year, rode the bench in Buff.. no world where Hamlin is better than Edwards, none & idc what McDermott says, Edwards was good en to start for 2 Superbowl teams, McDermotts clueless.. McConkey is ballin too, have seen atleast a half dozen routes by AD Mitchel where hes just smoking CBs on deep routes, open by 5+ yards every time, but the bum QB missed all the throws, Pierce has been ballin out too..
Dont get the hamlin over ME as well. Also agree with the wr comment. Every year beane says we dont suck enough to get the good fast wrs. But we pass them up in rd 1/2 every year. I wanted thomas bad. But guys you mentioned i agree. They need to get one next draft. Wouldnt mind giving up a pick as well for a number 1 but it would be a big contract. Either way we need a field stretcher who wins against single and doubles.
The real question is can we afford to keep Coop at his age, like what does a feasible contract for someone his age at his talent level, 2 yrs 40 million? Can we even afford that?
@Dcrow3 actually he said the same thing I did 2 yrs 20 M a yr, Hopkins was significantly less and Coopers contract should be bigger than Locketts. My point was I don’t think we would spend it on a receiver his age

Mcdermottt did the same thing with Poona Ford last year. Put him on timeout. He did the same thing to Elam! Take a first round pick and flush it down the toilet.
If the defense can gel and get healthy Hopkins won’t matter and we can’t choke on defense at the end of the game .
Diggs drops more situational balls than Cooper
I think you mean BTJ vs keon,Carter, Ray Davis, and maybe solomon as well.
I think AJ Epenesa is one of the top 5 3rd Defensive ends in the league. He has to lead the team in sacks from the bench.
Did we have to bring up the zero ints? Im not superstitious or anything 😂Go Bills❤
Mike Edwards this year Poona Ford
Josh having no picks hasn’t translated to anything. Logic would suggest less turnovers=more possessions=better offensive numbers…but that hasn’t been the case. Dude has had multiple turnovers in double digit wins and zero turnovers in losses so it never really mattered with him. It’s so overblown that even nerdy analytics would back that up.
Stefon Diddy Combs
Cooper has consistently been better than Diggs his whole career on balance. Diggs wasn't scraping top 20 league wide at WR prior to arriving in Buffalo. Cooper has been top 10-15 every year of his career. Diggs was also never a great fit on the boundary vs in the slot, but he had to because Buffalo never really invested in boundary deep threats after John Brown outlived his usefulness in that regard after 2019.
Diggs was a top 5 WR at one point, Cooper was never that, also has a large amount of drops compared to Diggs
Everything about Cooper off the field is better than diggs
There are certain people who should really note what Joe has said about Worthy.
I think every team should figure out a way to put your best talent out there. When Milano comes back and we are playing let’s say a team like Baltimore or Seattle. I would not
Ind having 3 linebackers out there more often.
Cooper is a better teammate, and a better run blocker too.
Add in a "Temperament and team player" category, and you have Copper hands down over Diggs !
Diggs will always be removed for that drop and having 20yds in the playoffs
We are going to jinx Josh into an interception this week. Better left unmentioned. We all know it but let’s ignore that stat!
So far, after seven games, Keon Coleman has been more productive than Xavier Worthy.
I really thought that Willam’s and specter buckled down and really started hitting Henry in that second half of the game against the ravens it was clearly bothering him . If they had started hitting like that early he would’ve not been as affective . And that needs to be the mentality going forward against any team .
Or just maybe stack the damn box and do them some favors more than like 8% of the time or whatever it was in that game.
Imo they are the same in away if you look up career stats they are very close diggs has a edge on him but he also has had more catches then coop
Truth be told. Neither Dugg or Davis was good enough in the postseason and were better without them by far. Go Bills
I’ll take Cooper with no drama any day of the week…
Diggs head simply never fit through the locker room door
And we had a guy like that.... Who got their money's worth ? Us paying Milano 14 + per year for 5 out of 34 games or chicago for Main?
Definitely a better WR corp. liked Diggs a lot, until last year.
Truth be told. Neither Dugg or Davis was good enough in the postseason and were better without them by far.
I miss Matt Milano Go Bills
Oh no Diggs has trouble getting separation!
So ur saying it is scripted??😉
the best ability is availability, trade milano next season or the following season
I would take Diggs from a couple years ago over Cooper, I would take Cooper now though.
Bills need bigger DT
Way too much was made of the interceptions last season (mostly by those who don't like Josh). So long as he makes wise decisions, that number will come down.
Diggs dropped us out a superbowl last year bro , hands how ?
Cooper runs better routes
i like cooper, but not for $20 mil.(maybe for 1 year) just draft another WR rd 1 or 2. egbuka, anderson, prather, bond and wells all seem like good options
Keon will never be thay, it's not his skillset & he's not explosive, they need a deep threat who takes the top off of defenses, still lacking that
BUT SCRIPTED REHEARSED PLAYER BUY IN PLAYS HAVEN'T WORKED EARLY!! NOW WHAT JOE?
So it’s Hamlins job until he gets hurt? That’s wack.
Great…. Hopkins to the chiefs.
For a 5th???? This is a way for the Titans to say F you to the bills for just kicking their ass .... Seriously???? Adams and Cooper for a 3rd and they give Hopkins up for a 5th?
@@davidmaly5464 nfl needs to be able to void trades like this.
Kc can get any wr they want idc I'm more worried about Chris Jones more than anyone else on there team but when ur qb has 6tds and 8ints they had to do something
@@FreshlyFriedwhy
You can’t forget to rank WR’s by how big of a d-bag they are. Diggs #1 and Cooper isn’t anywhere near the list
Obviously a personality conflict with Edwards
Is this irrelevant with Hopkins going to the Chiefs???
Quit saying buckets
The real question is can we afford to keep Coop at his age, like what does a feasible contract for someone his age at his talent level, 2 yrs 40 million? Can we even afford that?
Joe literally gave you perfect comparisons to this, with Hopkins and Lockett contracts. Ruffly ~15 mill a year give or take
@Dcrow3 actually he said the same thing I did 2 yrs 20 M a yr, Hopkins was significantly less and Coopers contract should be bigger than Locketts. My point was I don’t think we would spend it on a receiver his age
Are you out of content? why would you compare the two it's not even a full season yet
