    I'm just a beginner but at 7 (or so) minutes I paused the video to share something I figured out today.
    You can buy rolls of rubber mesh shelf liner. I happen to have some left over, so I got it out and cut a round to fit my turn table. It made a huge difference when I was marking out the canvas board, nothing moved. 😊...
    I'm back after watching the whole video. You're so talented! I loved your techniques and your explanations. You are a great teacher and your work is beautiful!

    Thank you so much for leaving the center dot off and showing how you correct the spacing. Getting the center dot in the center is my biggest challenge also!! I also love the length of these videos and very excited you’re doing them more often!! Thank you, thank you❤️❤️❤️

    I am loving these step by step tutorials. Thank your for taking the time to do them. One thing I did learn from you is I no longer use the circles on the stencil, I make my own circles small like you do and it makes it so much easier to stay straight. Thank you for that tip. I am with you on the center dot and the first few rows are hard for me too.

    I love your tutorials! Even on small canvases… i use tutorials for practicing for my bigger pieces. I love it, cause i end up doing something new… a new technique, a new colour palette, etc…using a new tool. So thank you ! ❤ oh, i have a good example, you using small mirrors, it made me think that I could incorporate diamond painting materials in my mandalas! See!

    Your work is always stunningly beautiful, and though you make it look so easy I have learned without the proper tools and a steady hand these results are also hard to achieve. Thank you so much for sharing so much inspiration with us! I aspire to be as good as you some day. With a whole lot of practice maybe I’ll get there ❤🙂
    Side note: even with the foreknowledge of the burp I never noticed it lol so don’t worry!

    I love your designs and process. It's so relaxing to watch. What do you do with the left over paint in the plastic containers? Do you wash and reuse them or do you have one for each time you start a project?

    • @thoughtfuldots
      @thoughtfuldots  Год назад

      You totally could wash and reuse them but I personally use a new one for each project!

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. It is very helpful. The pattern is so beautiful and the colors too. Definitely will try this pattern but I am still struggling with the brush strokes. So, can we use nail dotting tools instead of brush for the small patterns?

    • @thoughtfuldots

      You are so welcome! And yes you can absolutely swap the brush for nail stylus tool ♥️

  • @debbiesalay1839

    Where did you get your wooden turn table to paint on? I see how much it can help.

  • @Lyn4817
    @Lyn4817 Год назад

    There is a chart online that lists a lot of the tools used for dot art that gives comparisons from one set to another. Just print it up and we can use the equivalent tool at a glance. I fairly certain the actual mm sizing is given on the stylus tools also. Anyone with calipers can measure the size ball of the Stylus they have at home and mark their stylus of the size in mm.
    Smaller pieces are far better for tutorials. Including coasters, mugs etc. I recently saw that someone who had dot painted on espresso cups and saucers. They look great. Not forgetting empty bottles or even small recycle containers. I have been putting our empty vitamin bottles aside to do something with. We can also use the multi surface paints to use on our metal water bottles and coffee take away cups.

    How do you keep your chalk pencil so sharp. When I sharpen mine, the calk always breaks off.

    • @thoughtfuldots
      @thoughtfuldots  Год назад +1

      Ugh that’s so annoying isn’t it?! I have the same issue sometimes. I ended up getting a new sharpener that has 2 options. A shorter point and longer point. The shorter point option seems to have less breakage!
