44 years old and divorced, feel like life has truly fked me over. But then isn't it amazing, this soundtrack takes me right back to happier times. I must have been around 10 years old and playing this in the arcades, no worries, no women, no bullsht, just me and that steering wheel, driving that Testarossa. This provides a brief, yet much needed release.
As I understand you ... At the time my grandparents and my parents were still alive ... No need to work to pay the rent ... I also suffered a divorce .... The strength of these music, of these old games, is to instantly bring us back to a happy period, which allows us to feel better about ourselves. Thank you for your touching comment.
@ It is possible but I am not aware of it in this case, I know that there are two versions of the terminal but aporiori with the same version of the game, which region are you from?
Same bro, Genx , we had awesome games, catoons , action figures, ,tv shows ,movies and music. I love that the internet gives us access to all the old memories.
Yes it is impressive that a game over 30 years old remains beautiful, fun as it was at the time, with msiques always as pleasant to listen to, it is clearly a timeless game
The sound of pure nostalgia.. i must have been seven years old and on holiday in Mallorca. This machine entranced me - the exotic red Ferrari, the amazing graphics (kids, don't laugh), but most of all, the beautiful soundtrack. Without getting too boring, these 80s video game composers did not have a lot to work with in terms of sounds or numbers of tracks. But that's what makes this soundtrack even more impressive. The music stayed with me all these years, forging my musical identity and, I believe, played a big part in my eventual career... as a musician. Splash Wave will always be my jam (some cheeky bass lines in there!) and whenever I hear it I'll forever be transported back to that hotel in Mallorca, the sunshine, that cabinet, my family.. those memories will never fade ❤
The amount of times my parents took my brother and I to Mallorca and Minorca, you and I may have played the same Out Run machine(s). Great times. I remember one of the machines at the resort would give you a small electric shock when you changed gears, haha.
It was 1988 back in the old country. I was a young kid and saw the truck pulled up at the arcade I was at. They rolled out Outrun. The game tester didn't play for 2 mins...he got through the entire game without continues. I don't know if that was a promo or he was showing off but man. Everyone stopped playing their game and gravitated to this machine. Nostalgia my people! The arcade days...
I was playing in 1988 this arcade after class in my 16 years old. I liked so much the graphics, that was amazing in those years and the music too! I'm still remember that game.
I remember playing this with friends, our pockets full of quarters. No smartphones to distract us. Just us kids having the time of our lives 😊 good memories indeed
Outrun is by far my favorite racing/driving game of all time. It's so soothing and calming to play. I do wish there was an endless mode where you just looped all the paths over and over again and could just drive at your leisure.
Man. I LOVED posting up on the Outrun cabinet just to jam to the music back in the day as a kid. This and Space Harrier were SEGA's finest at the time. For how rudimentary they are, these tracks are still amazing in 2023!
Creating a game so good with the incredible electronic limitations they had at their disposal was genius and the music will always be unforgettably catchy for all of us that grew up in the 80's :-)
Shoot, I'm 27 now and remember there being a standing version of OutRun and a cabinet of Final Fight being at the old bowling alley where I grew up. Good times...
When i was a kid i played this on arcade but never passed the extended play. There was an old guy always finishing the game each time and there was some spectators behind him to watch.
Used to play this at a 7/11 in the previous town I lived in back in summer of '87. Life was good then, just an 8 year old, quarters and no responsibilities.
I was 16 yrs old and this console was the bomb back then: first movable console race game with proper soundtrack in the headrest speakers! The only video game I was ever addicted to.
Butlins Bognor Regis 1987, aged 12. First time I'd ever seen an arcade game with a hydraulic moving cabinet. I thought I was king of the fucking world sitting in that car with Magical Sound Shower blasting from the speakers behind me.
I love this soundtrack so much i used to play SEGA Outrun in Chapel St Leonards in the Sandfield Club when I was a little boy I managed to complete it lol 😂😊
This video does bring back memories! It was 35 years ago... I was 13 then, playing this game almost every day in a small arcade game place as I was on vacation near the sea on the west coast of France. It was the simple cabinet version yet so much fun! The graphics quality was quite revolutionary at the time. I have come to love everything in the game, the music of course but also the small bugs such as the Ferrari logo unexpectedly changing orientation when the car moves, or the lanes sometimes disappearing on the road... One day when coming back at the hotel where we were staying my parents and I, we found a red Testarossa parked in the small yard in front of the building. Truly an amazing car that I will never forget.
When I was young, I had played this at a video arcade frequently. It is very memorable for me. At that time, even though very cheap hardware, amazing game was made. Especially music are great !
My feet could barely reach the pedals but that wasn't going to stop me!
I really loved this game and OST back in late 80s! BTW, this is the first time I hear "20:16 Cruising Line 26:01 Camino a Mi Amor". Were they included in the game? How come I have never met them in the game?

Great run, music, and game. My personal record was 26 seconds left (but this is back in early 90s when I was in High School) :) Now I can't probably pass the 1st stage :p
I played again last night after almost thirty years. I managed to get to the finish on my first run, however only with six seconds left. And it seemed so hard to beat back in the day... Maybe it has something to do with me now being an adult with a driving license 😉
when purchased the game it came in cassettes .... the 1st was the game and the second cassette was the original soundtrack. i played it on the amstrad cpc 464 ... going on the motorway we would play the cassette.. great buzz
You must be a game developer to know the circuit like that.......heck I've played it 100's of times and still got caught out on the timer with only seconds to go.........:-)
I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for this video brings back dear memories of my arcade days do you have a Turbo outrun video like this also?

I played again last night after almost thirty years. I managed to get to the finish on my first run, however only with six seconds left. And it seemed so hard to beat back in the day... Maybe it has something to do with me now being an adult with a driving license 😉
Loved this game! I believed before the race you could turn the radio dial and choose your tunes!😊
@@passionjeuxvideotv moi mon père l'avait sur l'atari
when purchased the game it came in cassettes .... the 1st was the game and the second cassette was the original soundtrack. i played it on the amstrad cpc 464 ... going on the motorway we would play the cassette.. great buzz
Awesome music and game
Gosh I have to work and I keep staring at that beautiful and hypnotic sprite scaling
You must be a game developer to know the circuit like that.......heck I've played it 100's of times and still got caught out on the timer with only seconds to go.........:-)
i also love the game and the sound track to outrun it is still one of my favorite game as well
Makes me immensely happy, I wanna cry. 42 yo old fart here.
amazing that VW beetles and semi trucks can go 200 km/h!
The music in this game is a masterpiece.
it wasn't the Hiroshi Miyauchi it was the Hiroshi Kawaguchi SEGA composer
Nice Video
I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for this video brings back dear memories of my arcade days do you have a Turbo outrun video like this also?
I will soon publish a video on turbo outrun precisely :-)
@@passionjeuxvideotv yes please would really appreciate it!
The music of my childhood. I had the game for C64. The music was fine on it too, but the game came with another casette that had the (arcade?) music.
Yes, as on Amstrad CPC the game was provided with the audio tape containing the music of the original version (arcade)
@@passionjeuxvideotv I only remember the first 4 tunes, I don't think the audio tape had the last two either? Are the last two arcade only?
@@av_79
Exact my compilation contains the two bonus pieces of the arcade version
Music at 13.30mins is my childhood memories!!!wish hadn't grown up
HIROはLast Waveまで。
18:53💙💙💙💙💙 So beautiful ending. 💙💙💙 Nostalgia hurt sometimes, but i love this tune.
Faites gaffe😉
the best moment : 14.39 to 15.04 incredible. so jazzy. so 80, enormous arrangements. QUE DU BONHEUR souvenirs du SLOT 54 à La Baule
I disagree. I'd say the best moment is from 00.00 to 37.17
The music definitely suited the gameplay.
😃20:15 It is the first time, i've heard it !!!! Sounds like BASIA " PROMISES" her first album💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Excellent !
Ah yes, the sort-of origin of synthwave.
Spettacolo! Lo finivo tutto che tempi meravigliosi! Invece oggi si gioca al tampone
I heard this theme on taiko no tatsujin game! And I didn't realized this theme was from SEGA! 0:03
Very nice story
