In your video you forgot a very important step : How to cut the aluminum foil around the twisted pairs without damaging the insulation on the twisted pairs.
I did it exact the same as the video but i only get 90 mbps up/download and with a normal cat 5e cable i get the maximum of my isp contract ! Please help me
Oh, i have a better one: Is your cable even meat to have rj45 connectors? Because mine aint. Got myself a good quality 305 meter roll of shielded cat6 cable. Got those faancy shileded cat6 rj45 connectors. And... did not manage to make even one working wire. The wire diameter was too big to fit in the connector. Even if i got it in, it would be too big for the crimping tool backside, so the front teeth ended on wrong height. Even if i put in only the individual wires without the casing- the crimping tool did not work properly because the wires were a gauge bigger then the tool could handle. Turns out that some wires are meant to be used only in installation between patch panels and wall sockets and likely wont work with any rj45 connector. And those connectors in the video... can not be crimped with regular crimping tool at all. It needs special tool that does not press the backside of the connector. Those tool prices were not one time use friendly. Even the simpler version of cat6 connectors would benefit having tool with regulatable backside press. Otherwise the back of connector can still be pressed to sithereens by the crimping tool if bigger diameter wire is used. In the end I just got myself another roll of cat6 cable meant for patch wires (smaller diameters). Other connectors without shielding. Connectors used for round cables (found out there are connectors for flat cables). And just decent regular rj45 crimping tool. I dont need to go over 20-30 meter wire lengths in here so it should be just fine. Took me some loong time scratching the pieces together from an online shop. 956 different options for a RJ45 connectors does leave room for mistakes.
