  • White Christian Nationalism is a political ideology that merges Christian identity with nationalist sentiments, presenting a narrow interpretation of Christianity in order to preserve power and exclude and marginalize others.
This does not reflect the inclusive, loving teachings of Jesus, who was no fan of the religious-led nation-state.
As progressive Christians, we can decry Christian Nationalism while working to embody the values of Jesus-compassion, justice, and love for all-especially when we vote.
In this 5-minute video, Rev. Jeanne Loveless tells us why she’ll never tell you how to vote from the pulpit, and offers a number of resources for understanding (and fighting) the rise of White Christian Nationalism.
