Looks almost the same as the draknight. Not surprising other people would think it's the same model. Both of them are black too. One of them could have used a different color at least.
Come on the motors are different colors!! 😂
Thanks for pointing out all the differences. They look very similar though. It seems any novel designs that come out get thrashed by the FPV brainiacs out there, so better to just make another model that looks super close to the ten previous quads that came out. Thanks Internet Dweebs!
It's not surprising we get a lot of similar designs. If one design sells well, many copies will come out. Unusual or untested designs get hate right away just because it's unfamiliar so a lot of companies won't try innovative ideas because people pour on the hate. I've seen this before and soon the company discontinues the model before it had any chance. Then they learn not to invest in new ideas so we get the same stuff over an over.
I saw a post on facebook that the HGLRC motor was 3 times more efficient even at the same size. So your flight should have been 1 minute and not 3 minutes? I didn't know that motors of the same size could have a huge differences in efficiency. Did you really fly this?
Facebook is not a reliable source for truthful information. In fact, it's a cesspool of lies and misinformation. I doubt whoever posted that fantasy had any evidence to back up that claim. Yes, I did fly it and you can see a complete flight on the 300mah lipo at the end of the video. It was just over 3 minutes long. I stand by what I said in the video. I don't give a f*ck what someone said on Facebook as nothing there is remotely believable.
reminds me of that hglrc one that just came out i love the spoiler thats great and id guess functional for turtle mode but none the less its super cool looking thanks for sharing Albert
Thanks for watching!
I’m thinking a simple xt 30 adapter that creates a 180degree turn would solve the issue of having to bend the connectors in a pretzel. Or just resolder a longer wire on the quad.
I'm new to FPV and don't have much money to spend. All the information on the web says this hobby is a bottomless pit of spending. Can you offer any suggestions on how to get into this hobby on an extreme budget? All the advice from the FPV community is nothing but discouraging.
Learn to build and order parts from overseas. I am the ultimate budget builder and almost always order all my fpv parts off of ali express. Wait times are long and slow but you will save 100s possibly thousands in the long run. In my experience this is the cheapest place on the Internet for drone parts.
These are very cool. The company is cool, they have some other drones that are unique for sure. I would love to see one of these with the DJI 03 in it as these look a bit more stout and beefy than some of the other "micros" that can carry a DJI 03. Perhaps they would have to go up in size by 1/2 and inch or so.
By the way - that HGLRC and YMZ look so similar, not saying anything just noticing it. The arms are different for sure, i have no real preference. Oh, and dump that spoiler it looks out of place for sure! But to each their own.
And it could be a good idea to print out some motor bumpers. Something that the drone lands on and also can help cushion a hit.
Also noticing how much the balance connector hangs out... something to think about how to handle so it does not get torn off.
Awesome flying and review, Albert! 😃
Those little quads are freaking fun!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Can it fly on 1s?
No, 2S only.
which one has the better FC? O_o
Define "better" and I'll answer the question.
Diatone had couple years ago almost the same drone (2018GT-Marauder 2.506 NX) the frame is very similar.
Great review / comparison of the YMZ Lightning 2" to the HGLRC, they do look really similar, but the price difference is very noticeable. Guessing the awesome metal spoiler makes for huge performance increases 😂. Both seem like great fun quads to fly. Great review and comparison Albert!!!! Happy Flying All!!!!
The metal spoiler is definitely worth the extra $35! 🤣
Hi Albert. Great overview of another retro looking micro. Everything looked fine about it as compared to the Hglrc, until you said the price. Ouch.
😵
why is this retro?
@@xavierprimeto1752 look at some builds from a few years ago. Aluminum frames were popular. Nothing wrong with it. Making a comeback? Hense retro. 🤓
They are probably the same quad. One factory, two different lines one for company one and one for company two. I suspect it is a fun little analogue flyer.
Looks similar but the motors, FC, frame, and side plates are all different. Did you even watch the video?
@@frankcastillo8869 I did watch the video. I am merely saying that a company will address a manufacturer and produce two lines with slight variations between models, a few changes here and a few changes there but they are quite similar in appearance and related hardware to separate it from the next quad. When I said "same quad," I might have stretched it a bit.
I think both models came out about the same time so hard to say which is a copy of which but this style was around a long time ago so I wouldn't be surprised if they developed these independently and we now have two really similar looking quads. Just look at all the x-frame toothpicks with canopies out there... there's a ton...
