Really interesting review Jack! The whole hinge thing is definitely a personal preference thing. I love that it doesn't have hinges as they always break or jam, I kinda like it as it is. It's interesting that you put the food and water inside, don't you find they get really mucky? Your birds look super cute.

I actually was so impressed how they withstand the midwestern storms, including a straight line wind and a tornado across the field and it didn’t tip or get damaged, I ended up getting a second one. This time I got the large Ground coop for the birds too scared of the ramp. They are a lot happier and I can keep the food and water outside on both coops now. Yes the water got dirty fast inside the coop 😅 I might be doing a separate review for the ground coop. Those Pi clips were so much easier to fit in too. Maybe it was just that model that gave me issues.

They’re easy if you’re pushing them in from the top. Pushing them in from the side made me bust up my fingers.

@@JaGoHomestead Hi, thanks for the video. For the Pi-clips, as written normally in the instructions guide, you need to insert them with a 45° angle and it should be then quite easy to pass them through. The Nest Box lid is not fixed with hinges as, for cleaning purpose, you are able to remove the full Nest Box part (including the lid) easily and with a fixed lid, that will be more complicated to clean. Generally, we put the Nest Box lid on top of the coop when we collect eggs and then put it back in place. The back door is also free to make the cleaning easier and quicker. We appreciate your feedback and your video and we just wanted to give you some explanations about the pain points mentionned which are not pain points for us but designed that way on purpose: Having a fully demountable coop for deep cleaning. Let us know if you have any other questions.
