This goes without saying, but your storyboarding skills are out of this world! Everything is so clear and solid, your work is such a delight to watch. ✨⭐🤯
Eugene’s ratian story is so sad but relatable as being an Asian in the theatre arts it feels like I have a certain wall between what I have to do and what I want to do and people judgeing (sorry I’m not that good at English). This animation is just amazing and so are you . FIGHTING !! :D
3:04 this scene is very well done. Having Eugene in the middle of the crosswalk surrounded but other pedestrians and the way you showed that she's invisible to everyone is powerful. The speed of the camera movement and how kept paced with the vocal singer shows the stressed and anxiety Eugene was going through. Let's not forget the transition from the street to the stage and how Eugene feels more alive and seen on stage than in real life and the only place she could express herself. That's how I interpret it. Very Powerful.

AHHHHH oh my stars your work is just *chef’s kiss* The scene from 2:27 to 2:32 is definitely one of my favorites!! The expression of Eugene and the connections made between their IRL life and the stage are beautiful. I also wanna appreciate the fact that Wendy is seen a lot less, almost not at all during this animatic compared due to the fact that she’s been busy (as shown in the comic) and not able to hang out with Eugene as much. From 2:40 to 3:05 it created a lovely and suspenseful build-up to the 3D and the fluidity and feeling in that, it’s just, omg. The camera movement too!! During the build-up I loved the falling of the leaf and the phone cracking and the look of Evan!Eugene sort of looking like they’re having flashbacks to when they fell. Something else I really like is that when the characters are in costume, it’s very recognizable as both the character they’re playing and who they are IRL. Wonderful work and remember to stay hydrated as well as take care of yourself :D

This is FANTASTIC!! My brain is moving too fast to say words but like, this is giving me so many thematic ideas about what it means to be in-character acting in a play, the way scenes where Eugene is playing Evan vs being herself just seamlessly cut together and sometimes it's completely interchangeable. It feels like in her mind, it all feels like it's hers when she's acting. And like, the word 'acting' becomes so funny when you think about it like that, because it makes it sound like acting is casual or pretend, but it feels very intense and personal to be a good actor. Hopefully you can read some of that and it wasn't entirely just word-soup. Thank you for sharing this animatic with everyone, I am so happy I got to watch it!
the good thing about the animatics and the comics is that you can watch the animatics without the comics and still enjoy them but when you do read the comics it adds a whole other layer of meaning to it (also thank you for introducing me to dear evan hansen!)

I've been listening to this song all the time for weeks, it just fits with where I'm at right now and I really feel it. I watched your Wicked animatic and it was amazing, I'm trying really hard to improve and watching it helped me realize that tone shifts in animation can be fluid with limited frames and limited colors, story beats matter, meaning behind it matters, and skill and practice make a world of a difference along with understanding why something works even if you don't understand in the moment as long as you figure it out and practice and play with that. There's so much in your animatics that inspire me to try more and work harder, and it's amazing. Sorry if that was really really long just to boil down to "I love this song and your art is amazing!"

I relate both to Eugene and Evan in this video. This year has been one of my darkest and saddest as a senior in highschool realizing how alone I am. This year I cut a emotionally draining and depressive relationship between me and my theatre teacher and the environment I face there. None of my 'once-friends' from theatre talk to me anymore. My father figure choir teacher retired last year, and choir doesn't feel the same anymore. And my classes are an absolute bog down, taking college level and prep classes, working a part time job, and having being almost completely cut off from my closest friends, I'm struggling both emotionally and socially to cope. I feel isolated as I'm waving through a window. And I also am deeply hurt, because as hurtful as it was and still is, I miss my theatre life. I still crave the stage and performing, but I know I'll never be the stereotypical lead. Because I look different, kind of like Eugene. I am bigger, and of a different race, and even if I can sing and dance and love to do so, Im usually just another extra who can't socialize without messing it up, and who stood in the corner watching people in groups laugh and be in the spotlight with all their charm and beauty. And I really tried, but it was always hard for me not to hate myself in the process. And even though I should feel better that I'm done, I don't. Anyways, Im just saying I relate. I forgot why I wrote this. Sorry for the sadness dump,
I may be late, but this content is so underrated! I wish other people could see how good of an artist you are, and this channel deserves more attention. This song really fits the great aesthetic of the animation with events happening at certain points in the song to make you feel the same emotion that the character is. The story was really fun to try and guess what it was, when the animation was sewn together in a non-linear flashback type way! I don't have the words to express how much I love this animation, and I thank you for this, it made my day a lot better :D

I know for a fact I was never bullied this bad back in school, but I didn't understand why I related so bad to this song and this animation until it hit me.... And my tears started... I relate both to Eugene and Evan in this video. This year has been one of my darkest and saddest as a senior in highschool realizing how alone I am. This year I cut a emotionally draining and depressive relationship between me and my theatre teacher and the environment I face there. None of my 'once-friends' from theatre talk to me anymore. My father figure choir teacher retired last year, and choir doesn't feel the same anymore. And my classes are an absolute bog down, taking college level and prep classes, working a part time job, and having being almost completely cut off from my closest friends, I'm struggling both emotionally and socially to cope.
I feel isolated as I'm waving through a window. And I also am deeply hurt, because as hurtful as it was and still is, I miss my theatre life. I still crave the stage and performing, but I know I'll never be the stereotypical lead. Because I look different, kind of like Eugene. I am bigger, and of a different race, and even if I can sing and dance and love to do so, Im usually just another extra who can't socialize without messing it up, and who stood in the corner watching people in groups laugh and be in the spotlight with all their charm and beauty.
And I really tried, but it was always hard for me not to hate myself in the process.
And even though I should feel better that I'm done, I don't.
Anyways, Im just saying I relate. I forgot why I wrote this. Sorry for the sadness dump,

I may be late, but this content is so underrated! I wish other people could see how good of an artist you are, and this channel deserves more attention. This song really fits the great aesthetic of the animation with events happening at certain points in the song to make you feel the same emotion that the character is. The story was really fun to try and guess what it was, when the animation was sewn together in a non-linear flashback type way! I don't have the words to express how much I love this animation, and I thank you for this, it made my day a lot better :D

ive watched this four of five times now and that spin keeps getting me, i'm no expart but it looks like a pain to 3d 2d images like that
or maybe its an optical illusion, because the spin changes everything's location to eachother and that can make flat things look like they thin out
I know for a fact I was never bullied this bad back in school, but I didn't understand why I related so bad to this song and this animation until it hit me....
