I was also thinking about when the architect tells him about the previous versions of the matrix and that there were also other previous versions of the 'one'.
That scene is even more brilliant....now that I realize how deep the Oracle was playing her game in this scene. She tells Neo that "Morpheus believes in you Neo. And no one, not you, not even me, can convince him otherwise." The deep part is that she's the one who helped convince Morpheus to believe in Neo in the first place. She set him up to believe in Neo so much that he'd be willing to sacrifice his life to protect him. And because Neo is attached to Morpheus, because of all that Morpheus has done for him, that then manipulates him into rescuing Morpheus (keeping him safe) and putting him in direct conflict with Smith. That is some mighty fine chess playing there. Also.....Neo 'dying' in order to realize just how much of a construct 'death' is within the Matrix, gives new meaning to her phrase "Your next life, maybe, who knows?" *pointing at the screen* She Knows......probably why she's called the Oracle or something.
This is close. She tells Neo he needs to die first. She then tells Neo he will need to choose between his own life or Morpheus. But before that, she tells Neo Morpheus loves him, believes in him, is willing to die for him. She tells Neo this to manipulate Neo , so Neo will reciprocate and protect Morpheus. Thus, when the time comes to choose between his life or Morpheus, he will take his own life and become The One ;) But before that, she
'Know thyself'. When she told neo 'you already know what I'm going to say..' that was his door. If he would have said 'i am the one' and believed it, it would have set in motion a series of events that would put him in a situation to 'be the one'. "If I hadn't have said anything, would you still have broken it?" The oracle is playing everyone.. Trinity, Morpheus, and especially neo. She sets up the dominoes through influence. Just like she told trinity she would know The One because she would fall in love with him,.. the only reason Neo diverted from the path the architect set for him is because he fell in love with trinity. She did not fall in love with him because he is the one, he is the one BECAUSE she fell in love with him.
The one could be anyone with the will to pursue the path of resistance. Resisting to conform to the matrix. The anomaly the architect was referring was the humans will to rebel.

She gave Neo the visions and then told him how Trinity was going to die because it would force him to make the choice, and remember choice is an illusion according to the Merovingian who said he, Neo, was not there of his own free will but instead was obeying the Oracle and doing her bidding like a loyal dog. Causality dictates that Neo wanted to save his own lover and the effect of that would be that humanity would die. In order to 'save' humanity he would have to let Trinity die. This was the illusion that he ever had a choice since the Oracle knew she was going to die. A series of controls to give the illusion of choice while forcing Neo down the only path the system would allow him to go down. It was a matrix of compromises that lead to an inevitability of design (determinism/fate)
This reminds me of some of the Convo's I have with the Universe where it tells me something and I either have a hard time wrapping my mind around it. Or I don't believe it and it tells me the same thing. Don't worry about you'll understand it one way or another.

Had his character been that of a man that would let Morpheus go and continue to live within his little box, he would have never awakened his powers. Here I make a big spoiler of Matrix sequels: She is the creator of the Matrix together with the Architect, to enslave humanity. Even here that b***h is manipulating Neo to become the One to eventually exterminate Zion. Who would have thought that? At least this is what she had done with the previous 5 Ones apparently. But somehow it ended up helping the resistance in this run of the reboot phase, if I remember correctly. But in this scene she was still probably thinking of exterminating Zion as usual.
iirc the Oracle was always at odds with the Architect, as he wanted the perfect system but she wanted the flaws. I think she was waiting for the whole Smith/Neo conflict to happen (or something equally chaotic) for 5 iterations.

The Oracle tells Neo that he is waiting for his next life to awaken his full potential. She then segues into letting him know that he will have to make a choice between his life and that of Morpheus. Had his character been that of a man that would let Morpheus go and continue to live within his little box, he would have never awakened his powers. His character led him to making the choice to rescue Morpheus because he believed he could. He knew he was going to die but what he didn't know was that in his sacrifice he would be born again with his full potential unlocked.
He had a choice in becoming the one or not becoming the one by deciding to save Morpheus he became the one. It was his life or Morpheus when he made the choice to save Morpheus is when he was walking the path of the one. That's why the Oracle told him that one of them were going to die and it was his choice who would it be he was waiting on something and that's what it was the choice to save Morpheus or Himself. He died saving Morpheus and wahbam the Oracle prophecy complete. ' waiting on your next life "

She is the creator of the Matrix together with the Architect, to enslave humanity. Even here that b***h is manipulating Neo to become the One to eventually exterminate Zion. Who would have thought that? At least this is what she had done with the previous 5 Ones apparently. But somehow it ended up helping the resistance in this run of the reboot phase, if I remember correctly. But in this scene she was still probably thinking of exterminating Zion as usual.
iirc the Oracle was always at odds with the Architect, as he wanted the perfect system but she wanted the flaws. I think she was waiting for the whole Smith/Neo conflict to happen (or something equally chaotic) for 5 iterations.

She root for him since the beginning, she help humanity survive until the time comes, and then guide Neo. Everything start with a choice, and you only could foresight until you find a choice you don't comprehend
