- Here is a video about my canopy from Ali Ababa.
the app is simple to use and and you save a lot of $$$ using it.
After shipping and handling this canopy, it cost me around $1800 CAD
I have the aluminum version. it is 200 lbs lighter than the steel option but $200 more.
I absolutely love it.
Thanks for the video! Just ordered mine today for the 5ft Aluminum option! $1272 shipped here to Florida. Now just the waiting game lol
Hello. Did it arrive yet? Thoughts on it?
@@travisc8598 I actually ended up canceling it because of the wait time. So I went with the OVS Expedition truck Cap
DId you get it already?
also if you don't mind sharing the link I want to get one here in Florida as well.. Thanks
I ended up going with the OVS Expedition truck cap since the wait was too long for me.
That’s what I’ve heard about Ali Baba’s website too. Thanks for sharing, can’t wait to get one for my Tacoma.
It will be interesting to see how it holds up in a Canadian winter. How long till the hardware rusts and have you carried a rooftop tent and does it hold up to the weight and offroad abuse? I have a RSI SmartCap but they're obscenely overpriced and even they have their issues.
1800? Apparently I couldn't find as good a vendor as you! When I went through aliexpress, the best I could find was 3,000, now don't get me wrong, that's still half of a smart cap, but it's almost double what you paid!
I eventually found one of those resellers locally who were reselling at $3,000, and considering I couldn't find it cheaper in China, I ended up buying it locally.
@Green__one it's possible it could have gone up but not that much. Check the seller I used.
How did you mount the cross bars? Is there a type of universal adapter? My main drawback is the lack of thule tracks.
@@willweaver-g3w I used a few unistrut bols and bolts very easy and strong.
I’m looking to get a camper tent from alibaba but unsure about the suppliers. Do you mind sharing the link to the supplier you used on alibaba?
Scratch that I just saw the end of the video screenshot! Thanks!
have you installed anything heavy on top? concerned about left and right movement
I've strapped in building materials on top, and I've walked up there with no problems.
Any tips for the crossbars on top? They look great.
@19888995 Thank you! I just had some unistrut laying around and bought the bolts and hardware I needed.
Mine is arriving this week. Where did you need to silicone? And is it included? Thanks in advance
@19888995 you can see in the video. It comes with it.
Have you tried putting an rooftop tent on it? Can it hold 400kg like they advertise?
Yeah I just had me and my tent on it last weekend.
I have also held a lot of material up top.
No problems.
Is this manganese steel or aluminum?
@@KillerX3388 I believe I have the aluminum option.
There’s a ton of these canopies on the site. Which one did you end up going with.
@@rickwagstaff8570 The company I went with is listed at the end of the video.
How you enjoying it so far? What province are you from I’ve been looking into the same thing. There is one guy in bc selling them for $3800 I’d much rather pay 2k less. If you were inside the canopy sleeping and someone closed the latch’s in the door(without locking with the ?key?) could you get out
@@kylekdornan I'm in Ontario. The latches are locked from outside. Can probably better ones to suit your needs.
How’s the quality of the glass of the rear door?
@vinniedang3305 it's pretty strong. I've scuffed it a bunch of times and it's still spotless
Did you have to pay custom duty as well? How much?
I did not have to pay duties. I believe it was included in the cost.
@alexkaa6351 I paid $1800, all included.
