EXO always sings live in their concerts but we can't deny that there is the use of mild backing track. Backing tracks in concerts helps the artists not strain and fatigue their vocals all through out the concert and also avoids dead air on performances. I always notice the backing tracks are usually used on a chorus of a song.

When you watch so many stages of the same song, you can always tell it’s slightly different each time, especially in comparison to studio version. It’s easiest to see this with D.O. because he always changes up his adlibs live. Also, it seems for more choreo heavy performances like their title track songs, the backing track is louder for chorus parts where the choreo is usually intense… or in parts where the guys are doing their adlibs or harmonies in the background live, they dont sing along to the melody part anymore… a lot of times it’s also due to cameramen focusing on the wrong person at the wrong time 😂 Understandable given exo really has a lot of complex overlapping harmonies

DARE."^.^ The thing is~ Chanyeol's laughing-slaps are *HARD* like bruise you hard! Kyungsoo *mostly* is more like a firm, shoving slap; where he slowly/gently makes contact and then shoves. There was the time where he punched Jongin in the arm for trying to kiss him while he was talking, but I'd point out Jongin laughed through the whole thing. Members tend to laugh if Kyungsoo hits them. Meanwhile, they've developed defensive reflexes against Chanyeol laughing~~~ There was something Kyungsoo used to do that the members actually feared (besides the putting something in a sock as a weapon thing)~ I won't say too much, cause hopefully one day you'll watch their episodes on Happy Camp & see it there^.^

This is one of my favorite song by Exo but I can't figure out if it's because I love the song itself or the stage! It's impossibly fun yet so intricate and well done and it's one of the stage that really made me want to know more about the members. On a side note. I do recall Seventeen having musical like stages with props. Mainly for their incomplete online concert. They really pushed the limits with their stages and went all the way out. Especially for Ah! Love, Hey Buddy, Left&Right, Do Re Mi and also Home;Run. Unfortunately I think Hybe did a great job deleting all the videos from RUclips. Some are still left in lower quality but the full concert is available and any carats could give you the links if you wanted to do a concert reaction. I'd really recommend that one! It was breathtaking.
You should watch the acoustic melody that accompanied this concert.....its a bit more fun and funny where as the one you watched with them in the white suites was a bit more sexy and sweet and serious. Totally worth watching plus chanyeol and lay get to sing where they didn't in the other.

There are some adorable music show performances of Unfair where they’re in different types of costumes (Santa suits in one and various professions-like race car driver, doctor, cop, baker, airline pilot, etc-in another). I know those probably would have been blocked here, but you should watch on your own.
To satisfy your curiosity, I just watched the reply of your stream from Wednesday and I’m pretty sure that Kai is in fact not singing live in that vanilla performance as it’s more focused on his dance and performance. That isn’t to say that he is bad or couldn’t sing it live if he wanted, it was probably just a creative decision made based on a great variety of factors but yeah, I just thought I’d point it out.
There were a few times exok was made to lipsync right after their debut but honestly that was more venue control than anything, but yeah they are pretty bad at it 😂😂
