Sadly yes, but then again they seem to throw him in since 2K16, despite him being retired then, and get this, 2K16 and 17, he was shown as being on the main roster, with titantron, ribbon movie, wall and banner movie, everything for his entrance except for the ring post movie, which wasn't really noticable back then anyway. Good news for current viewers! 2K has confirmed that not all released superstars will be removed from the game as there is a deadline for WWE to provide a roster list. It's not confirmed when the deadline is, but I'd say we still got a good majority of superstars for one last time

Big Show, Matt Hardy & Christan Mainly Hardy & Christan due to the fact that any TLC ideas that 2K may have had as part of a showcase mode are impossible now Alot of historic things revolved around these 2 in WWE, so doing things like TLC 1 or 2 will be impossible because no Christan or Matt Hardy...and likewise for doing Attitude era matches like the Mania 2000 fatal 4 way.. And I really wanted a 2005 version of Christan in 2K22 as I'm hoping it focuses on the Ruthless aggression era....looks like that ain't happening now.. Exactly. It's as if they banned even making CAWs or something, which is not true. They just won't be in the game, that's all. Even all their moves will most likely still be in the game and CAWs will be made within a days after release.

2k22 should add a feature to add custom music to create an entrance. It's the only thing missing as there are already lots of accurate CAW versions of Angle, Big Show, Punk among others.

1. Chris Benoit.
Benoit killed his family and likely won’t be in the next wwe game.
2. Owen Hart.
Wwe and Martha Hart are not on good terms and Owen will likely not appear in the upcoming 2k22.
3. Lance Archer.
Archer once wrestled in wwe as Vance Archer and hasn’t been seen in the wwe since. He’ll likely not be featured in the game.
4. No Way Jose.
No way was let go from wwe and the chances of him appearing in the game are very very slim.
5. Matt Jackson.
The former wwe jobber has since gone on to do other things outside of the wwe and this means that’s he’s likely banned from appearing in 2k22

Mainly Hardy & Christan due to the fact that any TLC ideas that 2K may have had as part of a showcase mode are impossible now
Alot of historic things revolved around these 2 in WWE, so doing things like TLC 1 or 2 will be impossible because no Christan or Matt Hardy...and likewise for doing Attitude era matches like the Mania 2000 fatal 4 way..
And I really wanted a 2005 version of Christan in 2K22 as I'm hoping it focuses on the Ruthless aggression era....looks like that ain't happening now..
Even though I'm bummed about it, hopefully, this opens the door for some random editions that we may have never seen before or not seen in a while...my mind is booming with names that id love to have in 2k22
