    Our lights are way too sensitive on street traffic is there anyway to lower the sensitivity maybe by placing tape over the sensor

    I watched your video after installing the same brand/ different model light. I thought I did something wrong, but found out it was the bulb. A sylvania LED TruWave technology wouldn’t work. An older style bulb worked. By the way, we had the same brass lamps. Good video instructions, thanks.

      I also had trouble with the bulb...For some reason the manual says to use an incandescent specifically, instead of for example LED or Incandescent. I did get an LED to work, but not the first LED I tried for unknown reasons. So I would say if one LED bulb doesn't work, just try another brand name.

      Be careful some fixtures work better with the rated bulb for the fixture and proper switch for fixture. For example if you get non LED recess cans and try to put led bulbs in the fixtures and a dimmer switch for them guess what’s not going to work properly?????? The lights.

    When the lamp has been installed and placed in test, the lights rapidly flash on and off once motion is detected. Any idea what might cause this, The lights never remain on.

    So my landlord installed this but I rather have them on all day because of my light bulb surveillance camera. How do I do that. In the night it works fine but once it’s 8am it sense it’s day light because of the motion detector and has no power lighting the bulb.

    Love the enthusiasm! I have my lights set to come on dusk to dawn but I’m noticing they’re flickering. I’ve adjusted the sensor, changed the bulbs but still they flicker. They don’t flicker all the time but usually once they come on the flickering starts then slows down.

    • @URTechDotCa

      That is odd. Mine are binary - on or off - no flicker. Do you have any old school incadecent bulbs you can try?

      Hi Nancy. So are you saying these lights can be set to automatically come on every night and go off at dawn without the motion defection function? Please let me know. That is what I’m looking for.

      @@URTechDotCa I’ve tried dimmable, not dimmable, incandescent and LED and it still happens. I even took the lamps off the wall to make sure they’re wired correctly but clearly I need a professional because it’s driving me crazy

      @@SH-jv5uf yes. I purchased them from Lowe’s. They can be set for motion detection and dusk to dawn.

      @@bluediamondlover According to the manual (download at Heath-Zenith) a high sensitivity combined with large temperature differences of objects can cause the flickering. If you have an air vent, heater vent or highly reflective surface in the area in front of the light that is probably the issue. Best thing you can do it turn the sensitivity to minimum and possibly turn (to re-aim) the sensor. The manual goes on to day the flickering could be normal operation if heat from other objects is affecting it.

    Hi! What is the red wire for??

    • @URTechDotCa
      @URTechDotCa  2 года назад

      The extra wire is connect multiple units together so if the motion is detected from one of the sensors, they all turn on. I do not want that to happen so I did not connect them... but you could.
