Actually, the roads on Continental Europe are the best in the world ; - ) look it up - it's the geography that makes it difficult to have trailers over 45 ft in length and weights over 44 metric tonnes, excepting Scandinavia, where the gross weights are 76 tonnes.
If you've ever had to come back from Italy fully freighted with marble and the Gotthard Tunnel thru Switzerland is closed for whatever reason, you'll know what I mean when you see the detour you have to take in order to get around the tunnel. That's why we have at most 48ft trailers, but most companies are still running 45's as anything any longer is just completely impractical and often asking for trouble.
Maybe you should come and have a look for yourself one day? Easy enough to run 53ft trailers when you've all the room in the world and flat straight toads..Peace

Is what is the power of this new Volvo VnX, Volvo D16 hp 700?
The new VNX can be spec'd with a Volvo D13 500 hp or a Cummins X15 Performance 605 hp.
D16 mated with an ishift should have been made available on special order, at least!

R Powar The D16 is junk and there's a reason Volvo doesn't make it anymore. The new X15 from Cummins will be plenty.

D13 should be offered in 600hp + trim ..... For trucks like this.
That's D16 territory.
Relaxation Station D13 in Penta motors offered in 900hp trim. Much more reliable than the D16
