Great video as always. My 10yo son has been going on about wanting to become a pro youtuber. My advise has always been "not that easy/straight forward". I sent this sent to him back me up which it obviously has (thanks heaps). Subscribed to your channel as i am a dual sport rider hear down under (BMW G650 GS) and enjoy no nonsense content which you always deliver. Your efforts much appreciated😊
My plan, buy every cheap, crappy, broken motorcycle I can find, spend endless amounts of money and time away from work, upgrading and rebuilding said motorcycle, breaking half your tools in the process, and having to buy the other half new for the ones you don't have, followed by lending out said motorcycle, with it's associated repairs, then sell said motorcycle for a quarter of what you have into it. Then, rinse and repeat...... lol
It's so true! But what you lose in money you make up for in ridiculously good times! I'm not sure there's another person alive that loves fixing and tinkering with motorcylces as much as you do... and the bikes you build are truly works of art!
Your channel should be called 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycling' - it has a real philosophical virb to it - at least 50% of the content I would guess. It is probably just part of your personality rather than construed but it is a aspect I really like.
lol it was bugging me to death! It only fell out twice (off camera) and gave me a solid realization that the pack I was using to carry it wasn't a good purchase.
@@eveRide hi the ogio funny pack that you are using have a place to put the bottle of water i think the left zip bag, did you try it? Great videos you are making my quarentene lot better
Good info. Thanks. Trying to figure out how to move from working 7 days a week, to doing more if this. Have a tiny youtube channel started, help run a FB group you Amy habe heard of the PNWDSR... volunteering for events like Touratech Rally up where this month. Just getting more involved in the sport as a whole is kinda of where im starting. To get my face out there. Helping out the BDR geouos when ever I can. Working on members of the FB groups bikes for free. Have rebuilt 5 DRZ's for free. Recent one I did a full stroker kit to...cost for my labor?.....zero. I give them a taste of my work, and they always come back later and offer to pay. So im trying to become likw the first guy I ever follower on youtube...this guy Tyler is southern Utah....lol. Keep em coming.
This is such a great video. My dream is to make a living from motorcycles one day and these were all points that I can definitely use to make that dream a reality. I'm happy to be a new subscriber of yours. And I love your content so far. Keep doing what you are doing man 👌
You were trained to be an English teacher. Among your many talents, you have the ability to write, entertain, and communicate. Shout out to the Humanities!
If you get really good at photography and cinematography along with editing, you can make a portfolio and expand into other things like events etc. I know a few guys who make quite a bit just filming events and doing editing.
I think the most amazing thing about this video is that your water bottles survived. I was having anxiety issues the whole time just waiting for them to fall. Hahaha! Jokes aside....excellent video and thank you for sharing. I have been watching you since your klr paint job video and loved every minute since.
I have been watching your videos for a while and would love to ride around some of the areas you ride in. So if you actually do tours and rent space to stay (and keep a couple bikes), I may actually be interested :)
In my experience, the video equipment bought for RUclips is much more profitable being used making videos for others, which is something I never planned on.
My U-Tube channel Sucks. But that's alright. Just thought I'd suggest putting a wee windsock on your swivel-cam. May help keep it rearward and make it small enough to still let it swing around when your at lower speeds. Keep up the good videos.
Wait, you're in the badlands as in South Dakota? Shows how much I pay attention 😂 dude I'll join your patreon page I go riding out there every single year and have since I was 4. I'd love to ride with you and show me some real trails cause I can never find good ones. Not this year since I had to sell the dirtbike, but I'll still be taking my cruiser and my Ducati out to the black hills this fall, might be fun to meet up!
Heck yeah man! That would be fun to ride, but I'm not in SD ;) I just call the desert around me here in Southern Utah the badlands. Apparently there are a few places ACTUALLY called the Badlands in SD and New Mexico... but I think the generic term fits for my area since not much grows :) So hey if you're in Utah let me know!
I'll have to get those available to everybody really soon. Right now it's just a friends and family thing, but we're in the works to make them available for anybody who wants them. :) Thanks for your interest!
Great video. Really appreciate the tips. I'm in the process of starting a monetized RUclips channel to help me fund my riding habit. Also looking for other income sources and your tips are really helpful. Thanks for the videos. You've been an inspiration to me give it a shot and follow my riding dreams. I'm going on a big ride in August from Vancouver BC Canada on the Pacific Ocean to Tuktiutuck North West Territories on the arctic Ocean and will be documenting on my channel. Keep up the good work. If Your ever in the out in the Pacific northwest and need a garage and a bed to crash in let me know. Cheers, Fraser Valley Adventure Riders.
Looks like your helmet has an interior sun visor, but I don't see it in the helmet info through the link. Did I miss something? Sorry! I am interested in a new helmet with the sun shield....thanks very much!
Hey Tyler! I would love to learn more about the ways you earn a living on RUclips. I am desperately looking for ways other than adsense to support our family. I have recently started uploading some stock footage to Adobe Stock as well as others. Do you have any sites you would stay away from? Would you mind letting us know percentage wise what your breakdown of income is? Example, Adsense = 25% , Stock Footage is 20%, Patreon 50%, other 5%.
have you considered being a tour guide or event manger for a ride for your subscribers who want to ride together....that would be interesting to see that in a video.
You are absolutely right. I miss teaching almost every day, and at times it's been hard thinking that I transitioned from doing something that made a big difference to something that is just "entertainment." Even though I'm doing my "dream job" now, I want to go back and volunteer at my old school's special ed department. When I get a little more time I think I will.
Your intent is to make motorcycle videos, but I think you are doing something more.Maybe when people see what a good person you are it might rub off on a few of them. Also your wr is sweet man.
Haha oh I've already been snagged! Usually it doesn't knock me off if it gets caught in the shrubby desert bushes around here... but it gets close at times. I'm just glad there aren't a lot of trees ;)
I really want to come out and ride with you guys im currently modding out my 2018 drz400sm with knobbies. bought and sold a beta 500 not for me. Drz400 is all the bike I need. Let me know how I can hook up with the group and ride.

Hey man, I am stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida... I have been debating reaching out for a long time in hopes of riding with you! How would I go about booking with you? I have my own bike and gear that I would truck out that way!
Hey eveRide...for someone interested in several of the above - i.e. renting a bike from you, maybe paying you to take on a tour, place to stay, etc....how would I get hold of you?
Maybe be the camera guy, phoptographer of european MTB marathon championchip and the only one of 20 guys riding enduro in a nature reserve and been payed for ha ha!
Nice video and I watching all your videos and keep it up even for cheapies like me that only watch on RUclips because it's free.... A rubber bungy cord attached to your camera pole from your right hip will stop it flopping it around and still allow you to pull it to your side for an angle change... you are welcome for the free tip. hahahahaha
Don't forget those none patreon, I am sure all those patreons were not patreon to start with. Like any business, you need to give a lot to get a little :-) . Not all of us could afford to give a little
Wisdom so hard earned yet shared so freely...well done, Tyler!
This is a perfect video for me, I just started riding and moto-vlogging and just want to say thank you for pointing us noobs in the right direction!
Awesome! I really hope this helps!

Excellent, excellent video Sir!
Thank you!
Hey ib get you some adventure bike smackdowns!

That's a tough way to do it, but you'll make up for your losses in volume. ; )
Ha Ha!!!! Sound advice!!
Hey Damon, I was wondering if you might have any cheap dual sport motorcycles for sale right now? ;-)
Plagiarist!!
LOL
It's so true! But what you lose in money you make up for in ridiculously good times! I'm not sure there's another person alive that loves fixing and tinkering with motorcylces as much as you do... and the bikes you build are truly works of art!
Every time I think of something I might want to know, eveRide comes out with a helpful video within the week. Weird, but great.
Dun dun DUNNNNNNN! *think dramatic chipmunk ;)
Your channel should be called 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycling' - it has a real philosophical virb to it - at least 50% of the content I would guess. It is probably just part of your personality rather than construed but it is a aspect I really like.
Finally a straight to point video which tells exact methods of earning money .
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences with all of us. You are truly a step above. Ride well and be happy..
Thanks!! This is inspirational. Now I just need to figure out how to get Moab into my backyard. 😂
Your drink bottle gave me anxiety they entire vid.
lol it was bugging me to death! It only fell out twice (off camera) and gave me a solid realization that the pack I was using to carry it wasn't a good purchase.
Even Batman's early utility belts had issues.... :)
same lol
@@eveRide hi the ogio funny pack that you are using have a place to put the bottle of water i think the left zip bag, did you try it? Great videos you are making my quarentene lot better
Feeding the "RUclips Beast". Best description of it. :P
Tyler it is good to see you riding again!
Absolutely correct Sponsorship can make riding not fun. I've gone to many rallies where I'd rather ride but am stuck at a booth.
It's definitely a double-edged sword!

Great insights into your knowledge base. Training trainers is key to leveraging your base and expanding your influence.
Great video, very candid and honest no BS.

Thanks for a great video. This is the first video I have seen on this channel. I have subscribed and now I hope the greatness continues..👍🏍✔👋
you seen very chill in this video! good one well done. would love to go for a spin with you.
Google wants to be world's largest internet paid tv provider & everything they're doing w/RUclips is working toward that end
Cant figure out why you don't have even more subs. Always premium videos!
ye it doesn't make sense loads of kids with shit content yet millions on subs

Thank you Tyler great tips. appreciate your honesty

Wow that’s a really cool backpack camera mount thingy
Great video, man. Trying to get there as an adventure mountain biker...

Good points made. Whats the critter at 10:00?
Flipping motorcycles is a good way to make some money, it works for me anyway.
Great advice mate, thank you!
you are a nice guy, keep up the good work!
I’ll try to do more adventures riding outdoors! That was great I’m still laughing 😂 and so old I don’t just type 🤣
What is the rear arm mount you are using? That would be sweet for mountain biking.
As a wise man once said, " If the foe shits" well sounds like lots of Work for little money, kinda like a job?? LOL Great vids.
something ran across the trail at 10:00
DOPE Vid keep it up I like what your doing
Great advice there! :-) I miss having a dual sport. :-(
Thank you. Very enlightning !
I think I'll keep my day job.
Thanks
It's probably a solid idea. I never want to sound discouraging, but trying to do stuff like this full time is an enormous amount of risk and work.
but when it pays off,........ whoa!
No one told yoy to leave yours, self employment is not for the timid.
where can i buy a everide shirt ?
I'll have to get those available to everybody really soon. Right now it's just a friends and family thing, but we're in the works to make them available for anybody who wants them. :) Thanks for your interest!
Can't believe a English teacher being soo cool lol

Can you repeat that? I was focused on your water bottle the whole time.

We in Serbija leave with 250 $ per month
Glad the 'bumtato' is gone. Love your videos man. That boom cam is cool, but I hope it doesn't snagg you off the bike one day XD. Ride safe.

Awesome info! 😊
Great Video :)
What bike are you riding in the video?
are you running a gymbal on your 3rd person cam?
Hey man, I am stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida... I have been debating reaching out for a long time in hopes of riding with you! How would I go about booking with you? I have my own bike and gear that I would truck out that way!
Perhaps I missed it, but at what level patron does one get the exclusive videos? BTW, I look forward to your videos :)
You could overlay Haïku and I'd still enjoy the biking, just picking out dialogue that interests me.
Great video and info...................peace
Hey eveRide...for someone interested in several of the above - i.e. renting a bike from you, maybe paying you to take on a tour, place to stay, etc....how would I get hold of you?
Where is this filmed?
Ever invite big RUclips motorcycle creators out for free rides? I admit I know nothing about the algorithm but I always love crossovers
Still waiting for the stickers. lol
That water bottle !
I guess I show check in on patreon sometimes
What's holding the water bottle in place and the googles???
Tenny80 Gravity i guess :p
what bike are you riding
I really like this angle
the selfie stick looking one
Is this a wr250?
great video! funny how I just started to monetize my yt account 5 mins before watching this video! lol
If im brutally honest, I was really distracted my your water bottle.
Am I the only one who hears double soundtrack on this video?
Maybe be the camera guy, phoptographer of european MTB marathon championchip and the only one of 20 guys riding enduro in a nature reserve and been payed for ha ha!

Awww yeah! I've already rigged something up with some 550 cord... I was getting REALLY tired of that thing slipping over!
Go to RUclips and type in: Make Money with Motorcycle Helmets - it will make you money for your hobby.
santa clara! i live here
I loved the 3nd person View. I'm just getting OLD and broke.
Nice
