Dude...I legit love playing bards. I've even played a Bard that was actually a cleric to Bacchus because it fit thematically.
People who find Bards annoying are weak and don't see the true power of the class. And *that's a damned shame*.
But I love Bards. Can't get into Druids, though. They're more annoying in my opinion. Too high and mighty about nature and such. All around kinda meh. Entirely overshadowed by one subclass that everyone and their mums decided to give a rimjob to...
Bah. Bards are where it's at.

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge was a game that I got for my 19th birthday very shortly after it came out back in 2003. I loved both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, and I had been looking forward to Grunty's Revenge ever since it was first announced at E3 2001. Needless to say, I started playing it as soon as I could to experience what Banjo and Kazooie's first portable adventure was like.
I, for one, felt it was a pretty neat and fun game. A lot of the BK staples were present and correct: collecting Jiggies, notes, and other stuff; playing mini games, kicking Grunty's butt, and, of course, Rare's wicked sense of humor. It was a joy to see that the classic BK gameplay had a decent translation to the GBA.
My only real problems with Grunty's Revenge was that it was quite short (only six worlds, including the Spiral Mountain hub world) and generally on the easy side (while the difficulty ramps up in the mid-late game, it's still not terribly taxing). Even so, I rather liked the game. It may not be quite as good as the N64 Banjo-Kazooie games, but it is still enjoyable while it lasts.
Some random tidbits about Grunty's Revenge:
-You actually do rescue Kazooie while exploring Breegull Beach, and from that point on, she journeys alongside you like in the previous games, all in an effort to foil Grunty's ultimate plan: to prevent the bear and bird from ever meeting in the first place, which would have prevented her defeat at the end of the first game.
-Mumbo's other transformations are as follows: a candle that can burn and melt enemies and obstacles, and which can also journey through dark rooms; an octopus that squirts water at its foes and can safely swim through oily and chilly waters; and a tank that can fire cannonballs at its adversaries.
-The remaining worlds are Bad Magic Bayou (a swamp world with a haunted mansion), Spiller's Harbor (a harbor plagued with polluted water), and Freezing Furnace (the obligatory snow world that houses Grunty's own factory).
Grunty's Revenge is one of seven games that Rare made for the GBA. They also ported Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3, to the portable system, adding new collectibles, mini games, and, in the case of DKC3, new levels and a completely different soundtrack composed by David Wise. Their other THQ-published GBA games are as follows:
Sabre Wulf: A platform game featuring one of Rare's earlier heroes, Sabreman, who must retrieve treasures stolen by the vicious Sabre Wulf.
Banjo-Pilot: A plane-racing game starring Banjo and friends (and foes, too). It was originally known as Diddy Kong Pilot before Microsoft's acquisition of Rare put the kibosh on that game.
It's Mr. Pants: A weird puzzle game starring Mr. Pants, who was once the mascot on Rare's website. It was going to be called Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers, but it, too, had to be changed due to the aforementioned Microsoft acquisition.
If any of Rare's other GBA games take your fancy, Matt, you can try them out on the Flophouse Plays channel and/or on your own time if you like. Who knows...some of them may surprise you in a good way like Grunty's Revenge did!

Pre-rendered sprites were a big thing on the GBA because 3D models were cheaper to make. You can tell it was a cost-cutting measure because the animation was usually phoned in. Minish Cap being a Capcom collab probably had a lot to do with looking so good.
