I think I got the same kit you got in the 70s, and honestly I didn’t have to good of an experience with it. Just trying to modify it to have some sort of ridiculous jet engines due to fact the props were a bit broke.
The only problem with this model is the Fritz bombs. It turns out the He-177's never dropped them in actual combat, unlike the Henschel Hs 293 bombs featured on the old Airfix kits: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henschel_Hs_293 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_X
Great job and thanks for showing it off, especially since this is the first He-177 I've seen built. Instead of Fritz guided bombs, convert one into a refueling aircraft like the A.F. did with B-29's into KB-50's? Do an air to air refueling of ME-262's by adding 4 fuel tanks under the wings and maybe a 2 tone grey paint job like todays aircraft. Having vehicles gives everyone an idea of how big this aircraft really was.
Hi, thanks for your comments. at one time I was interested in trying to make a 4 engined version, i think its the 277, but got so many projects in the pipeline to make, time is always the problem with such a long summer here, kit building season is limited to a few short months
@@konradalexander7561 I do indeed know that Konrad :) but I'm thinking of the rarer 277 & 274 with 4 seperate engines. Maybe someone (Revell?) will produce a kit of either, afterall they made 2 versions of the also very rare Junkers Ju290 (also a 4 - seperately - engined bomber/transport aircraft).
Love the He-177 build. Top notch build and paintwork. Wicked good camouflage pattern. The Fritz bombs are cool too. Do you ever add crew figures to your planes? Bill
Thank you for your comments. I keep a box of unpainted crew figures in my spares stash which I never use, my models are depicted as static, even when I add diorama vehicles I almost never include figures. Its just my style I suppose
Hi, thanks for your comment. The few notes I kept show that: the undersides are in XA1202 RLM 65 Hellblau from the xtracrylics range....diluted with tap water; topsides base colour is RLM 02 from the same range, xtracrylics; pattern in RLM 73 brushed on....to obtain the correct match i used RLM 74 and RLM 71; and a highly thinned RLM02 airbrushed on all upper surfaces to make the RLM73 a bit lighter and at the same time seal everything on the model. I hope this helps
In my opinion the longer you take to purchase one then the higher it will cost, if they are indeed rare.....alternatively there's always the airfix model from the 70s which should be quite an acceptable kit to build from what I have read online....good luck
Although there are the usual uncritical praises for this 'Great work', I'm not so convinced. The machineguns on the forward rotating turret have no covers, the flamedampers were not carried on aircraft operating in daylight and the tubes of the kit are far too thin. The turquoise greens on the upper surfaces emanate from your fantasy and have nothing to do with the real colors. The crosses and unit markings on the fuselage should be much further back and deeper on the sides, to name just a few points.
Sorry but, when doing a build moving images and a little commentary is preferred by most, at best this is visual Mogadishu, something to send you to sleep, have a look at others, there’s no doubt your adept at building fine, accurate models, but, people will just fast forward to the bits they want to see,so it’s a generous 3/10 from me......😒🤭🧐😏🤔🤨😎
Best Heinkel of the week.
Beautiful choice, beautiful plane....Un amante de la Luftwaffe y pintor de Naves Españolas.
Outstanding video and build.
THAT'S A Big Model Kit for A 1/72 scale!..Nice Job..👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗
I built this model back in the 70s and really enjoyed it. Thank for sharing and buy the way nice job on the build! Better then I did Ha!
This kit didn't come out until 2000. You probably built the Airfix kit which is good, but this kit is amazing.

absolutely fantstic way to make a perfect( and complicated) camoo.👌👌👌
Hermosa maqueta. Felicitaciones.
Get many suggestions for the layout of this difficult camouflage.
Thank you very much.
Does propellers spin?
Hi,
well done!
Good Idea with the pattafix.
A very beautyfull plane.
Thanks for this video!
Greetings.
Great work, great video, nice music

Where did you get the Hakenkreuz Sticker from?
For the record @12:36 AVRO Manchester. @12:44 FW-190.
I wonder if it is the Planet Models kit.
Very nice build.
thank you for your kind comment

Or maybe have it piggy backing a ME-262 or Horton Go-229?

I wish they'd do an He 277 or 274, it would go nicely with the British & American 4 engined bombers (as well as the 177).
You might not know it, but this greif has 4 engines but only two propellers

Too Bad that the He 177 Wasn't A 4 engine Bomber..That Wing Span is Huge
Это настоящий камуфляж или вымышленный?
What type of paints did you use for this model?

+Christopher Mifsud thank you
excellent model
thank you for your kind comment
Just what I want or need German planes.
There is no place to buy this model, only e-bay but there is too expensive. I make this model around 2009, but I want again :)
