Like a professional shoud, he keeps the ebb and flow of a game whils Liz points out the finer intricacies. I want a commentator to take me with them on these highs and lows and not keep me on a level plateau with a tedious relatively unchanged monotone. Where are these people hiding in NZ???

The commonwealth are for countries belonging to the commonwealth. If ur country is run by a president ie USA or have their own monarchy ie Tonga u cannot compete in the games. All these countries are under the British monarchy therefore we are in the commonwealth

Tonga is still a member state of the commonwealth despite having their own constitutional monarchy and head of state, so is Malaysia and Lesotho (Brunei too I believe) and they still compete in the games. Among other things, you basically just have to accept the Queen as "Head of the Commonwealth" to be a member, it's purely symbolic. TLDR; You can still have your own monarchy and be a member and compete.

Maybe one day this tournament and the Asian games will be combined with the Olympics to form a mega tournament; with a greater variety of events and stronger competition!
Well it's only countries part that are part of the Commonwealth (formerly the British Empire) that can play in the Commonwealth Games. That's why the USA and Russia can't participate.
So you're real question should be "Why isn't Netball in the Olympics?". There's only so many sports/games in the world you can reasonably schedule in a limited amount of time/venue space and still make them financially viable. Also there's only about five countries that are really competitive in this sport. US and Russian tall women play basketball (rather than netball) because there's more money in it! Biased commentary sucks for viewers in any sport.
