I appreciate your videos about the MSC Seascape; my wife and I are going to be on it late in October. Since MSC matched our NCL loyalty points, we decided to give MSC a try. Right now our FIRST choice is NCL as we like "free at sea" and "free style dining". When we go on a cruise, we really don't like having to "dress up" at a certain time for a "certain time" just to eat. So for us is our number 1 choice is NCL since my wife is a "day person" and I'm more of a "night person". We'll see how our MSC Seascape goes, but I am, slightly concerned, about your cruise on MSC Seascape. BTW: I hate haggling with local vendors; but I have to say; I lucked out in Cozumel for about 1/2 price for a silver neck chain, I think they may have thought I was Mexican since my almost black hair was starting to grey at the time. BTW: Make sure you give NCL a try - you may really like it. We are in our early/mid 60s and you look to be younger, but NCL appeals to us, especially "free at sea" and "freestyle dining".
Thank you!! we definitely want to try NCL. I agree with you about dinner being so specific. We missed our scheduled dinner a few times due to schedule conflicts. Don’t be nervous 😍 you will have a GREAT time annnnnd you get to try the Yatch club! please remember us and come back and let us know how you liked it!
Thx for tips I will take same ship on Nov 2 for 1st time with msc, honestly I didn’t want to book it cuz I heard a lot of bad reviews about msc but the whole family wanted cuz it (cheap) wanna see their faces when they have to pay for extra plate in dinning room haha new follower btw ✌🏽
We searched for the ice cream machine as well on another MSC cruise and found out you have to get it from the ice cream shops, usually by the pools. The lady that helped us said they do that for sanitary reasons. They prefer to make it and hand it over rather than have people touching all over the cones and machine themselves. I actually liked that they served it out. It is still free even though you are getting it from a shop.
Look forward to hearing about your Virgin experience. I’m trying MSC for the first time next month. Fingers crossed that I like it because even their yacht club suites are less than what we paid for a balcony on Royal.
STOP IT!! The Yacht Club suites were cheaper than a balcony?????? Gee whiz! The Yacht club had their own part of the ship, their own deck and even their own part of the beach! Which ship were you on for your Royal Caribbean cruise? Overall i think the ship was Gorgeous and the room was spacious. We should have watched more videos and we would not have been caught off guard with all the details lol.
I was just on Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas, we had dining at 8pm. It was at the same table every day, 644. The ice cream machine is staffed until 8 or 9pm. During busy times it’s manned by two staff. Also we had to pay for ironing as well. The alcohol drink package is about $80 a day on Royal Caribbean and we skipped it. I’m taking a trip on MSC because it’s free (minus the $400 deposit) but I’m going back to carnival. This was a nice review and you guys are funny.
STOP IT!!!! the drink package is up to $80! is that per person per day??? if so WHO NEEDS MORE THAN WATER AND LEMONADE??? NOT ME lol!! Glad we could make you laugh sis. Which ship/route are you taking?
@@jjwbtv yes adding in fees. Once on the ship they were offering buy one, get one half off. I thought it was the ship, our first cruise was on Mariner of the Seas March/ April 2022 and the prices were similar ($63 to $102 per person, per day, plus 18% for gratuities). I thought I give it another go on Independence, I’ll migrate right back to carnival. We did bring a bottle of wine, April 2024 we will take two and buy the soda package. I too understand why folks take them “shampoo bottles”.
I'm over here hollering laughing 😂😂😂 Soon as you started on how they was charging for everything, I said they sound like Spirit and here you go lol. But that tap tap tap the price we paid 😂😂😂
I’ll be on the Seascape again in 51 days!! My first time was last November. I ended up catching that horrible stomach virus and my friends’ blood pressure decided to skyrocket for most of the trip. We felt like crap the whole time unfortunately. The worst part by far was when we left Puerto Rico. A crew member committed suicide by jumping in the ocean at night. The ship stopped for a few hours, spotlights all over the place and giant coast guard helicopters circling around looking for this poor man. It was really scary actually. Last that I heard he was never found. Needless to say to say it was a nightmare cruise. I’ll spare you the details of what that stomach virus did to me too. So, since I’m a trooper I decided to do a “DoOver” cruise on the Seascape. I booked a 7 day cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Ocean Cay in late June. I’m really excited about this trip. I just hope that this trip goes without a hitch because at the first sign of a stomach ache, or if I even see a single crew member looking depressed, I swear I’m gonna get off at that next port and fly my ass back to Miami never to board the Seascape again. Wish me luck!!
OH! MY! GOODNESS!🥺 That was certainly an awful experience. I’m so sorry to hear you got sick and my heart breaks for that crew member💔. Definitely praying that you have a wonderful SAFE time on your Do-Over🙏🏾
i meeeeeean…. it definitely wasn’t for us compared to other “all inclusive” cruises we’ve been on. I did find out later that they run a lot of “kids sail free” specials so if you’re traveling with kids this might still be a good option.
I am very surprised this was an expensive cruise for you. I have been looking at cruise comparisson sites for 6 months and MSC is always the least expensive. I am sailing on the MSC Miraviglia next week and it was almost half the price of the next cheapest. I know they give a little less than the other lines but at that price, I am not complaining. As for specialty dinning, I have only sailed with Princess in the past and they were not free either. If any cruise line have free specialty dinning, I am not aware of it. I agree it's ridiculous you have to pay extra at the main dinning room if you want something more. If I am still hungry after dinner, I will be hitting the buffet for extra dessert ;) Thanks for your review.
Hey friend! I guess expensive wasn’t the best choice of word. This is definitely the most we’ve paid so far because usually HUNT and plan far in advance to get the best deals. This was a birthday trip and my hubby was in charge lol. We definitely ate more at the buffet than in our dining hall just. Annnnd little inside tip: the App will tell you that the market buffet was closed at 9… BUT they were definitely serving PIZZA until around 11!!!! So if you need a late night snack there’s always pizza (and i have ZERO complaints on the pizza lol) ENJOY your Trip FRIEND❤️!
@@jjwbtv Yes, everyone is raving about the pizza. It's an italian cruise line so it makes perfect sense. I can't wait to compare it to Alfredo's on Sky Princess, that pizza was delicious as well. Happy new year to you!
NICE! you will love the staff! the ship! the entertainment! and the activities!! We have a few other videos that show more of the ship and the places we visited so feel free to check those out. And don’t forget to have a different credit card on file other than American Express Lol
You guys must not have cruised a lot. MSC cruises are some of the best value cruises around. That you didn't know about the main dining room seating arrangement says it all. I am going on that same cruise in a couple months and I expect it to be as good or better than my last 2 MSC cruises. If the experience is so bad why are the ships full?
Hey there, as we mentioned our last cruise was two years ago so we definitely acknowledge that things have changed since we’ve last been at sea. Never said it was “bad”… Just different from our previous experiences. Also as mentioned, beautiful ship and loved the activities, there were just things we didn’t know before we went which is was why we made the video. We hope you enjoy your trip❤️
@@jjwbtv I have cruised on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and MSC over the years I find it unfortunate that some people expect the same experiences on different Cruise lines. Personally I enjoy the MDR especially when we travel in a group because it gives us the opportunity to touch base at the end of the day and share experiences. I never order room service I don't need WiFi. If I want a drink I buy a drink I don't need a package. There is so many included food options on every ship I've been on that I am really selective of when and what I eat. I really don't need specialty restaurants. I enjoy the music, the shows the excursions the hot tubs and the parties. What we all need on a cruise is lots of patience with people. Some will be drunk and some will be annoying. Let it go enjoy your cruise.
Well I think every Cruise line after the second entree charges man you real critical on the food you gave it a 3.5 you made me not even want to go on msc I was really hoping their food would be better then carnival but this isn't the first time that I have seen somebody complain about the lack of food or the way it tastes I'll be better off sticking with carnival I haven't looked on your channel but I need to find a guide like this for Norwegian
Hey sis, so to be fair in September 2023 I started a lean & green and no sugar meal plan. So it was difficult for me to stick to my regiment with the lack of options….So that contributed to my score. But on the flip side my husband had no restrictions and tasted pretty much everything and he too was dissapointed. We both agreed that Italian night was the best night for food which makes sense seeing as how it’s an Italian company. I can’t imagine being responsible for the food experience of 4000 people but if resorts can do a good job than so should cruises right?🤷🏾♀️. I’m looking forward to trying out Norwegian too!
