Jinjer is from Ukraine, and every member is an exceptional musician. They are Roman on guitar, Vlad on drums, Eugene on bass and Tatiana on vocals.

Tati is such a superstar. She is truly a natural front person. She really has it all, including a unique gorgeous style. You really gotta do their live performance of "Perennial" for Wacken 2019. No one rocks a gold jumpsuit like her. Absolutely perfect performance and a beautiful poem in it's own right.

Be careful it can be infectious. A lot of Jinjer fans never liked growls before discovering them. Perennial live at Wacken next to see them onstage. And a performance from Tatina that part of me is always a bit surprisd it's legal to be that charismatic on stage in Germany haha. Subbed. Cheers!

It happened to me. I hated growling, and then I found Tatiana a few years back. After that I've started finding other growlers I like as well. I think it was the quality of her vocals and the music over all that sort of drew me in, and then something flipped, and suddenly I'm listening to Opeth, Meshuggah, Lamb of god and so on. Crazy!

Jinjer shines in their live performances. I highly recommend "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 for a follow up reaction. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and the band is a collection of amazing musicians. Napalm Records and Jinjer are very reactor friendly, so you should have no problem reacting to their material. The lighter songs you could react to would be "I speak Astronomy" (OMV) , "Teacher, Teacher" (OMV) and "Bad Water" (Live, Napalm Records), Good reaction. (Subbed)

Perennial live at Wacken (pronounced like "vahken" - 🇩🇪)shows what they do on stage well. Pisces is a classic but is even more of a surprise because it doesn't have the heavy part at the beginning. I'm betting they added that to avert another Pisces haha.

Lol Jinjer is ukrainian proggy djent groove metal with complex time-signature maze, polyrhythms and multi-genre blending. They are one of the most talented 4-pieces ever. Tati is one of the best overall metal vocalists and lyricists in the business.

one you might like is 'I Speak Astronomy'. The official music video has some killer visuals and while the main riff is pretty heavy, it's mostly clean vocals.

A good next one is Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air. Jinjer tends to ease people into metal. Perennial is about seasonal depression where the fall and winter come and it brings depression until the spring comes. Another good song for her vocals is I Speak Astronomy.

  • @jameswarner5809
    @jameswarner5809 15 дней назад +2

Almost all Jinjer's tracks are a combination of harsh and clean vocals. Their music can be generally defined as progressive metal, often combining more than one time signature and musical style in a track. Their most progressive track and one with relatively little harsh vocals is I Speak Astronomy which has four time signatures in the first minute and culminates with Tatiana doing an impressive high belt (note: don't be caught out by the false ending). Vortex is another great track, which has a little more harsh vocals, but still has a majority of cleans and you'll be impressed with how long Tatiana holds her growls and how deep she can get them.

  • @Double_J_48629

genre-mashing is part of their specialty. some go harder than others.
if the really heavy is not your thing, then you _may_ be better served with dipping your toes in a couple of their soft ones, namely _Wallflower_ and/or _Bad Water_ .
_Perennial_ , _Pisces_ , and _Teacher Teacher_ all have similar tonal and melodic shifts/switches similar to this song you just listened to (albeit without the reggae).
_Vortex_ starts in typical prog in the lighter end of "metal", but then slowly grows deeper and heavier as it goes.
_Disclosure_ starts very Motley Crue-esque, but quickly gets very thrashy.
_Home Back_ starts with oscillating between medium-heavy and a-bit-heavier, but then drops in to just straight smooth jazz, before dropping back in to some of the deepest growls Tati has to offer.
they have earlier stuff as well that is a lot less proggy, more groove-metalcore-ish
    anyways, welcome to Jinjer.
    P.S.
as for Nightwish ... as popular as they are for reaction, i've heard some reactors affectionately refer to them s "Strikewish" 🤣

🔥Welcome to Jinjer, Roni! I just found your channel, saw your Jinjer reaction and subbed, great reaction even if it's not your cup of tea! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics!
The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past).
TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂
Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣
All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the latest album Wallflowers. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs.
Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see their former guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, in older videos on guitar and a more recent video (Disclosure) playing an interrogator.
One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined).
I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Pisces (Live Session - has some backing track's), Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official is the studio audio with some great footage from several shows), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, another where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video).
Thank you, Roni! I hope you'll keep trying out more Jinjer songs and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

It goes without saying...but I'm gonna say it anyways because sometimes, some people need to hear/read it. It's totally cool if you didn't dig something you reacted to. You respected the talent and that's all any of us as viewers can ask. Personally, I've never...and I mean, never been into metal music with harsh vocals like this. But I kept seeing this Jinjer video (Pisces) making the rounds on RUclips a few years back and after about a year of ignoring it, I decided to give it a listen. They are now one of my top favorite bands EVER! I even went to my first metal concert to see them and they did not disappoint...not even in the slightest. My advice...stick with it and check out a few more of their songs. You never know, they might change your mind.

Jinjer (as well as Napalm Records) are known for their loyal attitude to reaction videos. I haven't heard of any blocking cases at all.
Try some more Jinjer, please. There's something (many of things) very appealing in this music.
You'll probably be another person who didn't like "growling" type of metal until you encounter this band. There are a lot of us.
Let's start from the less "growling" tracks. Try Pisces and Wallflower as the next steps.

When I bought the album with this song on it (Macro), I was actually disappointed - this version is so much better than the studio version! The attitude and inflections she puts in this version make it by far the superior. That, for me, speaks volumes about her talent. When a band or singer don't just recreate what they did in the studio, but make it better live - 🤯
Avatar is another band that you would never guess that he/they could do what they do live - but not only they, they make it more fun.

Absolutely no expert here on copyright, but from watching other reactors, It seems frequent stops to comment go a long way to avoiding blocks. I understand some folks don't like the breaks, but for me it's always a learning experience. We've got the original video to listen to without interruptions and we can do so with the knowledge you bring to appreciate the music even more.
I also have a hard time picking out lyrics in harsh vocals. It took me quite a few listens and several times following along with the lyrics to finally pick them out of Jinjer's "Pices". I can do it fairly well now, and I think it would be the same for this song. And by the way, she has a beautiful voice.

You did well for someone clearly not used to this kind of genre, it's way too much for some people. Jinjer is the band that turned me on to extreme vocals, Tatiana is such a talented sweetie. The guys in the band are thoughtful and skillful musicians.
I think you might enjoy "Wallflower" OMV as your next Jinjer experience - it starts soft and builds slowly. The frustrated, enraged roaring vocals at the end totally make sense. Beautiful video, too.
Worth reading the lyrics though - Jinjer tracks are usually poetic, complex and tell a story. ruclips.net/video/DYZrO7qcLhU/видео.html

You should react to “The SiXsters” (5 now) girl Musicians from Ukraine. Best songs to try would be. “Feels” rock, “City” harder rock “For Us for Me” groovy, “I Stare at You” ballad or “Same Kid” rock &lol. Songs are in English. (Normal vocals TG). Don’t let their age put you off they’re serious musicians. They’ve been displaced to Essen Germany and still cranked out 2 new Albums. And started their own label. They were supposed to tour with Ukrainian band Antylila but f’n P screwed that up. I really think you’ll like them.
