the lyrics actually are based on a real letter handwritten personally by a british offficer and not even the standard letter from the army....the personal letter describes a mother how her son fell on battlefield and give her consolation and how proud the british empire is about him...
I really felt that the song never came to life. It was more of a story being told with some background music. The song was very linear, barely any dynamic at all.
The versus have dual vocals offering the dynamic movement to the track and the versus explode musically. I fail to see it from your perspective but not everything is for everybody
For a good album to be, sometimes we have to listen the whole album. This song it's the seventh song (in 11) on the album and I know that it will fit very well in the overall alignment. But just by itself this song is a killer one. Hypnotic and cathartic.
Holy crap, this gives me goosebumps. And the lyrics give me the vibe they're an actual army letter. Oh, the ending tells it right away.

Well if this isn't right up my alley then I don't know what is.
Big fan of Carach Angren plus I was an m240b gunner in the Army
"In true sympathy yours faithfully, War"
Crazy line
Wow I got so many emotions from this track. Sadness, anger, pride. That drummer is a human Gatling gun. Superb. I can't wait for the album.
Their last record was awesome, I have really high expectations for this one and after this song even more so.
Another BM band to check out along the same lines is Minenwerfer. They hail from California, USA and write about WW1 as well.
i remember they did a split with 1914 some time ago. 'Guess history nerds all know each other )
You need to check out Kanonenfieber, another WW1 band but German. They’re unreal
Lost friends and brothers on the 26th. This song coming out at the same time makes it hit different. Rats get fat while good men die.
Love this band, even got a shirt of them. Though their logo looks like a captcha to solve.
I'll see them in a week in live again !! can't wait !!!
This may be their best track so far. Definitely going to get some merch and represent!🤟
Holy, shit! What a song!!!!
Fabulous video, great reaction!!
1914 is so good.

@@APREACTS Perhaps I have to give it another go. The vocalist was definately the MVP here.
There are two vocalists. Each verse has 2 different vocalists in it. Dmitry from 1914 and Nick Holmes of Paradise Lost
