I might have just done that. I haven't seen this footage in almost a year and damn this brings back memories of the night i saw this tour in my hometown. might be my favorite era of Butch but i reserve the right to change my mind tomorrow, LOL
I saw him open for Avril Lavigne in November 2004 in Chicago. He played for a full half hour. I had never heard of him beforehand but he was pretty good and ever since I've bought all his CDs. He's really good!
butch wrote this song, back when he was in school from a break up...he still has the same love for this song even though he's played it thousands of times.
Great cover performance. I love the Butch Walker version so much better. In effect it was perfect. All the extra vocals remind me a Christina Aguilar National anthem performance
For me this performance is by a group of guys who got their heart broken by the same girl at highschool who then after 10 years, get back together and perform this at their reunion. LOL that would make a great chick flicks film.
Its not a cover he wrote it a long time ago got your facts wrong but none the less you can you tube him and this song and its like the first or second one its a great version of him singing it and explaining why he wrote it. he has written alot of songs that other people have cut and are popular songs today.
They are both basically the same band, they were actually going by another name here. The only difference really between the Lets Go Out Tonites and the Black Widows was that Fran and Jake were not in the Lets GO Out Tonites. Here I believed they were billed as Butch Walker and his Gang of Merry Musical Melody Makers. Which is why you see the "MMM" on the kick drum cover.
Your point? This is called not lip-syncing like 99.9% of the shit people think is good music. That is how those 99.9% of "singers" sound in real life, except they are actually 100x worse.
I hate when people lip sync on stage. I love Butch and hate that kind of music like rap or pop or screamo, they're just shit. Butch symbolizes actual use of music and art.
xfinafire unfortunately, you are not here to enjoy this song... because you miss the very point of this performance. each band member takes a chance on singing the song... drummer, lap guitar player, etc... and the fact that they make it, even struggling... makes the song so much more special. and personal. and then butch just joins in to settle everything in place. i love this kind of performance... :)
marius prisecaru I am a huge Butch Walker fan and I do know the point of the video but I understand where you're coming from and this song is one of my favorite songs from Butch. I could marry this song if that was possible.
This song could be one of the best songs of him. And this live version is the best one :)
I love him, and I love this performance! It wasn't at all what I expected, and this is a favorite song. Those sweet vocals at 4:08 😍
He's been my favorite artist since 1999, and he's f**king brilliant. This version of this song is a treasure.
Voice of an angel. A live Butch performance never disappoints.
This crowd clearly did not deserve this performance...nothing beats a Butch show in ATL.
Butch is the best 🙂
saved my life. don't stop @butch
Love this emotional 😭 song, more guys more
Always tear up when I hear this song~~ Such a brilliant song~~

Masterfully performed guys!! love the involving of different singers, and geez , the harmonies at the end... wow, Butch! just fuckin wow!
Outstanding :-)
Awesome band! From North of Spain...
Fran harmonizing with the lap...too good.

❤️
Audio on this is crisp and excellent. Thank you for that and congratulations. :)
2021 my friends..
Fucking destroyed that guitar at the end. God, Butch is something else. this concert was unbelievable.
This song is so powerful to me. It hits me in the gut. But at the same time makes me smile...
perfect
Outside of Steve Perry, Butch has the best voice in rock.
Great cover performance. I love the Butch Walker version so much better. In effect it was perfect. All the extra vocals remind me a Christina Aguilar National anthem performance
So beautiful - does anyone know who the guy with the red guitar is?
Foda!
Great song to listen to when someone screws you over.

You didn't get my joke. Butch does remakes of his own songs. I prefer the original. This is like a cover version. He folked it out.
Was this with the Let's-Go-Out-Tonights or the Black Widows?

2025 soon.
So now we’re improving arrowsmith
Is that Fran without a mustache?!?!
@stsarina Chris Unck
The other guys are struggling vocally with this song.
