  • Which is the bigger political influence on President Putin? Multinational corporations, filthy rich oligarchs or financial institutions? He asserts - it is the sentiment of 'the common man' that is responsible for his popularity and long-standing political career. What do you think?

I think the 144 million Russian people are out classed by Putin an his organized crime syndicate, its like Tsar Putin is stealing candy from 144 million babies. People have varying gifts an some are incredible gifted genius's at criminal conduct which they typically call governance an service, it seems to be a common theme for mankind throughout the history of all nations, Russia does seem to tolerate the tsars, tsar stalin, tsar putin. Folks get the government they deserve, since they get the government they settle for, Hitter, Mao, Stalin, Khan, etc.

Sure sign of a man with a clear conscience - he has the confidence that no one can raise anything from the past that would be embarrassing.
Very politicians anywhere in the world can do that ...

The secret of Putin's charisma and of his intelligence is that he has no ego. He would not hesitate to sacrifice himself for the greater good. The story of how he faced down the mob in Dresden when the Berlin wall fell, is evidence of that. His humility exalts him.

Much Love to Russia and Putin. He is an amazing man. Russia is fortunate to have a leader that has pulled his people up and out of a hard past. I so hope to see Putin and Trump have a great and enjoyable visit in the near future. It is time to express and behold a warm friendship we appear denied because of deep state and old worn out cold war thoughts of communism from pre WWII. Things change. We can change.

I just hope he stays in the leadership role at least until the Western Alliance of corruption has collapsed and drowned in it`s own cesspit of sewerage !!! Then , maybe the rest of the world can finally pick up their own pieces and start rebuilding their own economies again .Much admiration from NZ .

All the text and logos in the middle of the picture are driving me nuts! Also the fact that the interviewer is like a child, always interrupting him. What a pity, because it is a nice camera angle and always fascinating to hear Putin's articulate and intelligent answers to tough questions.

i'm really fascinated by him, could you do the entire 20 question footage? or is it out there somewhere with english subs? Also i liked the nazi comment, shows western media and russian use the same tactics on politicians populair with the average citizen. in my humble oppinion, it shows the western average people that putin is not the enemy of the people, just of the elite. Good putin ignored it pretty much, i see that happening in my country aswell where thierry baudet and FVD party are becoming huge, you can keep going into these insane nazi ''fun facts'' but then you only feed their nazi rhetoric, ignore it, move on. great job putin.

The average person is the same all over the world. They are concerned with day to day life, not what someone may think of them and in this Mr Putin is absolutely correct. Putin and Trump are very much alike in this as they both connect well with their people and this puzzles their respective elites/ruling class. Long live Putin and Trump! 😄

Is the whole interview edited like that? It's like a McDonalds commercial. making me a little sea-sick. And I'm guessing the interviewer has never seen Austin Powers, and has no idea that he looks exactly like Dr. Evil.

I am reminded of a conversation I heard from one of my superiors, a drug addict, who got onto the telephone with her father to ask how he was doing and talk like a Puritan, while her three fellow druggies were standing around her, waiting for her to hurry up keeping up appearances so that they could go out and get high for the weekend. A few weeks later the ambulance came by to take her to the hospital. She had ODed on fentanyl. This interview was given just before the collapse of oil prices, due in half-part to the non-emperor’s decision. To me, a lazy mirror-posing non-emperor too, apparently, at least judging by Putin’s actions and statements, it appears that VV has, in his turn to the PRC, brought Russia back to a 1990s style economy. I’m sure that was not his original intent. As to VIL (not exactly Evil Lenin), it is a bit uncharacteristic and off-protocol for VV to have paraphrased and cited a man Putin has in the past mostly vilified. There is more. There always is.

Why not?? Putin never vilified Lenin, he just never called him good, but Lenin ideas were popular, so he might be quoted! And Russia is far from 1990s economy! Todays collapse of oil prices is something we went on purpose, we are fighting for our markets!

em ell: That's nonsense. I watch a video called "Different Russia" and it's all about ordinary people in Russia and how they live, their houses, their grocery stores, their villages, their cities, their Church, their prices, etc. It's a vlog by an average Russian woman, with her family and their dog, neither rich nor poor. Nobody's starving that I see, or standing in bread lines. It's about ordinary people, what I would call middle class.
