TIME SCULPTOR-NOISE SPECULATIONS

A kinetic-kinematic etude for drummers. Conceived and developed from a neuropshychomotor perspective for drummers to work from the "negative phase" of movement which I refer to as "shadow movement phase" due to the subconscious state of percussive gestural embodiment, that I also connect to quantum physics with the idea of percussive "binding energy" that takes particles from its bound state to action, breaking the system, which in this work is about activating the unconscious phase of what drummers we call "stroke".
The work poetic side relates to the question What is real? and the answer: The breath of fire in the equations that hold the world together…what reaches our senses is at best a confusion of ghostly energies.
A kinetic-kinematic composition for solo drums, created in 2005 as a neuropsychomotor exploration dealing with the percussive unconsciousness state of the drummer sentienceness. The piece has been developed, adapted and presented in various ways over the years, and addresses the issue of the origin of the existence of the percussive phenomenon in human kind.
