I have been hiding under a rock and I can honestly say I am not sure about other planner sizes. I spent 20+ years in a FC Classic (half letter) then moved into a FC Compact (which is 4.25x6.75) and just got curious about the Pocket Size in 2024. My inserts are more pocket plus plus which is a little taller I think. OMG- shorter tombow markers would be AMAZING!!!!!!

Definitely not crazy - I go back and forth between personal and pocket size. I love pocket - you can fit so much in and it's not heavy or bulky. And there is just something so satisfying about having everything in such a compact little place. I love your setup and all your functional inserts. Lots of great ideas!

I think I like the way the planner feels in my hand. so small but packs a punch. However.... my heart is still wanting to go get my compact out of its box. I dont know if that is because I have a GORGEOUS vintage compact sitting on my shelf instead of using it..... we shall see.

a6 rings is very similar to FC Compact. Franklin Covey compact is 4.25 x 6.75. They A6 I believe is 4.1x5.8- for me it is not that much of a difference to switch sizes.
Good to know. I love the pocket Moleskine daily, but I wasn’t sure I could do a pocket ring planner, but if I could print a slightly larger size then it may work. I am dabbling with a personal luxe Moterm with FCC sized inserts.
@@lkessler1 I have the FCC inserts ready to use for 2025 from 13 years ago . I don't like to take with me the personal size luxe moterm, it's too heavy, so I'm thinking about cutting them down. Last week I decided to put in the pocket luxe moterm a store bought A6 planner, and it was successful, because it is a little shorter than the true A6 size (the cover of this planner was the A6 size, but the pages are smaller), and I like the result so much that I started to print the A6 size inserts and to cut them from the top and bottom. I do have the A6 moterm rings cover, but it's SO much bigger, that I don't want go use it, it's almost the personal size, so the pocket luxe size is just perfect: small binder with big pages! I did changed the rings from 30mm to 20 mm. P.S. You could cut any A6 or pocket planner, the moleskine daily or hobonichi A6 or kinbor A6, or hibino, so no need to print a lot , that's what attracts me. I cut two store- bought A6 planners into it, and I have another A6, as well as the hobonichi and kinbor A6 ready if i decide to do it

So I love tombows but found the mildliner brush is better. More portable and does better on more papers with different pens without smearing than the tombow
now that I am in the pocket luxe- I have been using the mildliners more often and I am in agreement. I have a ton that dried out... maybe that is why I stopped using them. do you find that yours dry out fast? how do you store yours?
@@MyMoxieDreams my only one that dries out fast is my grey one but I use it all the time so I think it’s that 😝 I store mine laying horizontally in a drawer system.
Planner hopping is more about changing during the lifetime of the planners in question. I might pick a different planner each year but then I stay in it the entire year. To me, it's actually comforting to have that one constant in my life. 😊 I don't see anything wrong with changing a system that's not or no longer working for you. I do believe it's worth sticking with a setup a little longer if you feel the funk might pass but in the end, your planner should work for you. I'm curious to see how you'll use it and like it.
Hi! :) oh I hope I didn't make anyone feel that planner hopping was bad. everyone has different reasons...no judgements here. for me because of my ADHD & OCD - change is really hard for me. I envy planners who can do it. I unfortunately can't. Also, I agree with you about finding a planner systems that work for you. What I hear from my instagram followers is that they tend to see someone else's planner and switch thinking it will work for them but they find out that it doesn't. but I also learned that to many planner are a hobby. for me it is a means to keep my life together otherwise I would be an insane person. lol. hope that makes sense.
Pro. Pocket is definitely smaller and more portable. Con. That cognac Aurora is LIFE!! I gave up on my search for a compact Aurora because I knew I’d sooner see Jesus than see the Aurora in person. What is your heart telling you?? If it’s too much trouble to maintain the pocket because so much of your life is compact, then stay in compact. I feel like pocket pages are too teenie weenie for me though.

Hi! The planner was a Moterm Luxe 2.0. Apparently you can put pocket plus inserts which are 3.5 x 5 (I think) - however, all my inserts are 3.5x5.25 inches.
The pocket is great, I have the same one. It’s so darn cute and chunky but don’t sell your FC.Aurora! I’ve been a FC user for decades as well and believe me, I have sold and or donated so many binders that I truly regret! I have the Aurora in classic size, but no longer have my compact size and I regret it all the time. Even though I didn’t use my compact Regularly because I would switch out between covers and sizes, I still wish I had it in my collection so that I could use it when I wanted to. Plus, I always like to have matching sets in case I decide to switch sizes. I think you should hang on to your compact for a little bit before deciding. Love your channel and your set up.
1000% Cheryl. I am enjoying this pocket size but my heart feels like I am betraying my almost 30 year love affair with Franklin Covey Planners. I have kept all my FC Compacts and don't plan on selling them. if this pocket size is a phase- I will have my tried and true compacts waiting in the wings!

Just a suggestion. But could you not scan and print your original then on the back side (that would be blank) print a future log or whatever else you would want at the front of your month and the end of your month.

FCC is almost the same width as the pocket + (A6), so you could cut the height and use them in the pocket luxe moterm. Ask me how I know this 😅

You may have already mentioned it, but what material do you use to make your dividers on your Silhoutte?
