"POC" is the most strange term ever. If people want to talk about non-white people, they should just say that. Or if it's non-white and non-asian people, they should say that too. Using "POC" is an attempt to make the term sound more positive, but it's needless

"Ai isn't racist. But, the programming methods behind them might be" that means it might not be, as well. Considering the vast pools of data used to train ai, it's more likely that it may just not be refined.

I guess that could be a nice way to say it, but black Facebook users, complaining a lot about it so evidently has a lot to do with the way the algorithm is set up, every way in life for black people it's always something set up against them so why wouldn't social media also be set up against them that's nothing new and it's not strange, black people do not have a space to themselves, even black Twitter will not let you say what you want to say so basically it's like black people are being treated almost as if they would be non-existent except for the racism, otherwise black people would not be acknowledged at all as if they really don't exist this is the way I think that certain people feel if you can't hold them down and be in control over them, it's just like they don't exist anyway
You missed the most fundamental component. Visual recognition is based on contrast.
Light and dark intermixed allows higher contrast, therefore higher recognition accuracy.
So, light skin with light hair will not contrast well. Same as dark skin and dark hair.
Light skin and dark hair/eyes/etc will contrast very well.
I kept suspecting that their algorithms are racist.
Because it takes people to program it
lets not blame the programmers this isnt easy to program.

My account has been suspended for calling someone misery guts. This charmer had launched into an anti Monarchy rant following a news story about the Queen’s platinum jubilee. My previous suspension was for telling someone who called me a racist to grow up. He didn’t like me quoting facts about black on black knife crime which are backed up by official statistics. so I was a racist and Facebook agreed. The one before that was even more unbelievable. Someone commented that British people living I Spain are no different to the economic migrants who come to the U.K. and are housed, fed, clothed and given medical care at public expense. I pointed out that it was hardly the same thing and said that he was a fool if he believed it was and I was suspended. One thing that all 4 suspensions have in common is that the people who got me suspended all appear to have been of non British ethnic origin. I’m not saying they weren’t born here, but they certainly don’t like white people and are quick to play the race card when someone has a different opinion to theirs.
I’ve now decided that Facebook can shove it up the hole that the sun doesn’t ever shine through. I’ve appealed every time but they’re not interested.
