- Beautiful windsurfing day with Sven Feuer, Nicholas Slijk, and Andy Laufer. Tested the new Neil Pryde EVOXII 7.4 on a 72 Slalom Proto and a 37 NoLofins. That combi is some much fun, even for Andy Laufer with his 100kgs in light winds! Lago di Garda at its best, Ora between 10 and 25 kn, sunny and warm! I hope we can race this beauty soon...

I always enjoy four videos.
I haven't been on a board in 15 or more years but I was on holiday at Garda last September and couldn't believe how many windsurfers were there. Watching them from the ferries made me so jealous that I'm not young anymore. Everyone looked like they were having their best days ever on those long, fast, flat reaches. Would love to sail again but I'm so out of date I have no idea about modern boards or sails.

I am 55, surfer since 1976 ( started at Lago di Garda!) and still enjoy surfing!
@@twistyroads I'm quite jealous. Job commitments, location and kids enforced an abatement to my sailing and like all things it's harder to restart later in life than carry on right through. My mate who I learned to sail with mover to Australia and has windsurfed and surfed his whole life and still does.

Foils might be fast(er) but personally I would not consider sacrificing wake trails, how they sound, as well as the feeling of the chop.
this is not necessarily the case. for me foiling is a lightwind option which i prefer over using 10m² sails on regular fin. if theres enough wind i go with a normal fin. i feel it more like choosing the best equipment for the current conditions, like using a waveboard in wavy conditions.
yes super lightwind they are faster. as soon as we have power in the sail, windsurfers are faster than foilers
Is foiling easier on the knees?
Haaa .... TORBOLE ... Nice spot but sooooo many people and soooo difficult to access water that we prefer to go to the sea now. Good memories.
Which sea do you prefer now Marc? I sail on super choppy sea always and looking for flat water spots.

thanks Guiseppe. Extra performance in foiling is the upwind speed. Especially in lightwinds they are much faster. As soon as we go straight or downwind and we have 15kn + of wind, the windsurfer is faster

@@AndyLaufer Nice. I was 300m downwind in confront to Conca D'Oro that day but my speeds were around 24 knots with Patrick 140 and ACX 7.5. Do you have a quick tip to improve? Me best with ora was 28.

Der Foiler ist schnell - alle Achtung ! Andy schau Dich nach einem Foil um - in 3 Jahren fahren die uns um die Ohren...😳
Bei wenig Wind sind die klar schneller. Sobald Druck, sind die Windsurfer schneller. Denke auch, dass die in den kommenden Jahren nochmal zulegen. I mags trotzdem net so gern... ist aber Geschmackssache

Hero 8 ist echt ein upgrade für dich....jetzt musst du dir aber die GoPro Max 360 holen,.... als nächsten Schritt..... bevor Robby Naish das machen wird,.... hahaha...dem hab ich auch schon vorgeschalgen vor 2 wochen das er endlich mal upgraden muss .... (wir kennen uns seit fast 36 jahren schon)....
