Leaping for the trapeze, juggling plates or just clowning around, these young people have dedicated their lives to the circus. They train every day, learn foreign languages and pass gruelling examinations. The school also admits European students, welcoming private money to subsidise state funding. Alexander Larin is passionate about the circus and has been teaching since 1969 despite his wife's disapproval. At graduation, three senior students perform for an auditorium of examiners and talent scouts. In spangled costumes and heavy make up, the winners and the losers animate this colourful feature.

I was there, it's definitively a great place to study circus skills. Thanks a lot Louba Stipanovna, my trapeze and rope teacher then.

I have a Russian figure skating coach, he pushes me so hard, doesnt give me any motivation or confidence because i try so hard but i give up because i cant do the higher level techniques, but i still love him :) he can be very nice sometimes lol

@dogloverllama no
@ighodaro44 I'm sure you could do this somewhere in America. And if not, there's always Canada and their Cirque du Soleil, they have a school.
times have changed a lot since 1996 you know. Moscow is now the most overpriced place to live ever
@chunkypencil There are circus schools all over the world! If you want to do this, you don't have to go to Russia, just do some research in your own country! I'm especially surprised that so many American people say those things - you're so lucky because if there is anything you'd like to do, USA gives you the best chances in the whole world! So what are you doing HERE whinning that you want to go to Russia to go to the circus school while you may be living beside one already?
We, Georgian people, issue a call the world community to rise to the defense of sovereign state Georgia, which is in the state from the side of former USSR- Russia occupied already 18 years, and which in this opposition already lost to 50.000 citizens and more than 300.000 refugees from ethnic cleaning from the side of aggressor!!!
