I believe you have done that before. It's been so long since I have done any work on a vehicle I wouldn't know where to start. nice job and you saved lots of money on labor.
Thankfully I have a manual for direction. The cost of bills etc is getting worse over here in England that it makes sense to do it yourself. Our gas suppliers are chasing me for £400 back payment on increases they didn't account for last year! The wife and cats have to stay warm though😁
@@Bambicarus In my Jetta I had to disconnect the bottom hose as well as unbolt the fuel filter and move everything to one side and pulled out the alternator from the top.

Changed my alternator last year - similar engine but mine is a Jetta 1.9TDI and getting the alternator out was a right PTA.
Thanks for watching, was fiddly but the money saved doing it yourself is a definite bonus👍🏻
Any tips? I've got a Skoda Fabia 1.9Sdi amd I've got the altenator loose but can't get it out the bay. Did you need to remove hoses to get it out?
Hi, no I left everything in place but it was a nightmare to get out.
