Ultimate slayer is a very strong 2 for 1 board breaker into most decks in the format, but especially snake eye and centurion. Against snake eye you bounce the omni and then pop the masq or the field spell depending on what line they went for. Against centurion you bounce the blazar and then bounce the field spell meaning you deal with both omnis. The card is very strong.
Great content as always, GG! Melodious does make me wonder though. On paper it's pretty strong but no regional/YCS tops recently makes me think is it just not that good in practise or is it not attracting the best pilots to showcase how good it is? 🤔
Mainly playing into certain hand traps hurts a lot, if opponent knows where to hand trap especially with nib can hurt and some decks or board breakers just shut down ur boards, that and I think really it’s somewhat underrated / people underestimate what it can do
its in a weird situation where all the new good cards hit it indirectly, especially with the inclusion of dominus impulse/purge since the deck is known for being able to play through a hand trap or two but when you introduce ANOTHER set of incredible handtraps decks like melo just get hit in the firing line for no reason (make called by a two of please konami), as well as it doesnt have any omni negates making it really really really really weak to board breakers like droplet or dark ruler. Basically its a very good deck but loses very hard to incredibly common cards (which tends to be the trait of decks that are good enough to be better than rogue but not good enough to be MUCH better than rogue). The deck is a good option if you want to still compete at regionals/ots and want to do so on a budget, if playing on a budget isnt a problem then pretty much any other deck is a better option
Melodious is actually not too bad in this format. Went 5-2 in a Regional with it where the majority of my match-ups were against top meta decks. Herald is insane!
For the list with 3 small world. It is probably worth having 1 veiler so that small world can turn ash blossom into any melodious monster. Unfortunately unless u play nibiru u cant small world ghost ogre into engine. Possibly a reason to run 3 veiler 1 ogre. Making sure u have enough monsters for small world to be live is important. Also why wasn't fuwaloss mentioned? Wasn't anywhere in the updated list or discussed. I think a big problem melodious has is not only being powercrept by the meta decks but also because of not being able to play around fuwaloss or utilise impulse, 2 of the strongest cards in the current metagame.
How do I enter for card drives? Im trying to save for college rn so i cant afford actual cards, so it would be nice (if its not happening anymore its all good)
No shot was literally just looking for melodious guides right before this video😂 I swear you’re a mind reader

Perfect, just picking up melodious as my 2nd deck, thank you!!
Just picked up the core for really cheap. Looks fun to play and has that surprise factor. Will be my main fusion deck, should be fun
