the tutorial is good but if you see the clones it kinda just messes up and changes A LOT and is very glitchy, it doesnt effect the game play but since the clones go up so fast and if a play could get a lot of apples fast than there would be a lot of clones and theres a maximum of 300 clones and it makes like 3-4 every apples :/ idk my question is if there is a way to lower the clones without effecting the actual game play

Hey i have followed the coding for changing the snakes directions, it changes directions but also teleports randomly around the screen when the arrows are pressed. any idea how to fix it?
The only thing i found how to fix it was to just create an entire new scratch project and recreate the exact same thing and it didn't do it the second time.
Align the middle of the sprite better OR look for mistakes in code (if there are any)
@@troublinggem7657 even creating a new project didn't fix this issue for me. Any ideas?

Tip:
Code for head - When green flag clicked forever if touching body broadcoast game over hide stop all
This will make the game harder. If you touch your body, you will loose.
Theirs a problem because when you start it the game just ends automatically
when u were making the golden apple, you could have just used the fill tool to fill the apple black at: 8:59
It would fill in the apple, so I did it that way
for some reason my game over screen is the only thing showing when i press the green flag and it hides everything and the game wont work now i dont get what i did wrong
never mind it was the code that made it game over when it touched its body im not sure how to make that work right
It is broken, another clone is created nest to me instead of behind me and when that clone touches the edge, i die even if the head doesn't touch

I had a black screen cover the screen using the (glide (x) seconds to (y) (z) block) And then had the button appear

I did this by my self cause my phone went dead but i cant figure out how to start with the body spawning behind the player so if it crashes into itself you die

Sammycheez what happened when we did the clone part was that the body would still be showing and then the head would disappear:/
you have to add the "if touching edge" code from the snake head sprite to the snake body sprite as well.
how do you make the snake die when it hits itself?

I did the same and my snake is totally broken, it is making a trail instead of just creating a clone and it is not getting bigger when it eats the apple

The reason your project is not working is that the head is and body are not centered in the "costumes" section.

Drag a touching Sprite1 from another sprite to the Sprite1 sprite.
