Alright, guys! Now that know our best off-roading spots around Australia, you might want to check out the ACTUAL differences between Mud Terrain and All Terrain Tyres ruclips.net/video/q8MW4A_h8Pw/видео.html
Absolutely loved the breakdown of each state! Really helps to plan where I'm heading next. My personal favourite to see is Kimberley - the views are just unbeatable. Thanks for putting this together and looking forward to more guides like this!
@@4WDTV Love technical driving near Perth! My top picks are: Mundaring Powerlines Julimar Forest Brunswick Junction For sand/dunes: Wilbinga (nearer to Perth) Yeagarup - Callcup Hill, Bornholm Beach, Dirk Hartog (further drives)
I thought I knew the answer but this video put an interesting twist to it. Personally, I would argue Vic is the 4wd hotspot and WA the Touring hotspot. But I will admit I haven't spent as much time out there as yourself. Good video buddy.
So in Tassie you said I'm not going to talk about the west coast and you're going to talk about the east coast. Then proceeded to not mention the east coast at all? And only spoke about the west
You forgot the cattle stock route in the north and the Holland track to the south of Western Australia. The (CSR) is bloody difficult just because of the complete isolation for 20 days approx.
oh man, it was a general overview, so many awesome tracks and destinations in every state but we only had a few minutes for each location. We wish we could have shown a lot more like you suggested!
Well I spose that's your option which is fair enough, Ive also done a lot of 4wd travel and live in nsw. But it looks like u havent done the hard tracks in qld. The tele track is easy in the late dry But in the early dry its very hard. I just think u under rated it a bit low myself. But great video to get other peoples option on placers
Not sure what map you are looking mate at But most of the Simpson Desert is in South Australia and some in QLD For someone who has done 20 years of 4wd TV you should know that by now. So going by your voting Sa should be a 9 out of 10
Ahh the irony! This bloke complains about tracks getting closed, yet he is a big part of the problem. This video is even full of wheel spinning, rock chucking action. OK in private parks but I bet some of the clips are from public land. How about you put some text on the screen noting that this sort of hectic driving is taking place on private property before you upload your content? Reasons tracks are getting closed: (1) 5 tonne Ivecos driving on tracks that are easily damaged (2) Caravans and camper trailers being taken places they shouldn't (3) Mates "challenging" each other and trying to go further than the other bloke, which leads to them attacking obstacles with too much speed and jandal. (4) Influencers making hectic click bait content for social media "Look we got massively bogged/ nearly rolled it / broke shit / took our camper trailer up this insane track" etc..Unfortunately influencers not only do stupid shit themselves, they normalize it and therefore ...influence others to do the same. The fact that Simon mentions police hot spots to avoid means is suspicious and not a great example to be setting. (5) People with all the gear and no idea, except for the ideas they get from influencers. I'm not saying you can't own an Iveco/F Truck/caravan, but there are definitely some tracks where you shouldn't even attempt to take those things. Tracks that can be easily damaged should have a 3.5 tonne GVM limit (manufacturer listed or mod plate) and no trailers, enforceable with hefty fines. Don't like that? How will you like it when all the good public land tracks are closed to all motor vehicles, forever? The fact that we are in this position means the Australian National Four Wheel Drive Council and the Australian Four Wheel Drive Industry Council have failed to educate, communicate and act in the interests of the 4wd community. Simon, if you care about this issue you'll do something positive, and won't have this comment removed.
Is that like saying the news is just the opinion of the host? It is just a bit of fun mate, take it how you like and if your opinions are different we'd love to see your video on your own platform 😊

Definitely a destination that can't be missed!
Just came back from a uni trip to broken hill and the view of the mundi mundi plains was something else, especially at sunset
yeah that is a ripper alright...great trip!
Couldn't agree more! This video really made the verdict clear.
I'm sure there will be plenty of chat about that, but we welcome it. Do you have a favourite track?

I did not know that Dalhousei Springs in the NT, nor did I know that heading east towards Birdsville (Qld) is in the NT. Go figure that?
Nah it’s in sa idk where he’s getting it from
Can you do another video for expedition vehicles please?
of we did - there's a video with Isuzu Vs Iveco Vs Hino Vs UniMog
surprised you didn't mention the watagans or coffs
so many great locations in every state, this was just a brief overview of each state and yes, we missed heaps of great places sorry.
I enjoyed your 4x4TV on Bris31.
It's changed since the 70s when you could get away from everybody and be the only one there.
Still exists in the NT 👍
Let's do something to keep these tracks open
Can you tell us the hotspots to say away from in VIC
Mansfield area 😅

Could have sworn you called them the McDonald ranges. More than once.
great video go WA haha
it was a tough call but we reckon every state has it's strengths and is a winner as long as we can keep tracks open!
Need to check your maths, your averages are wrong, WA came in at 8.5 😂
hahahha our team will stick to 4wdriving and not Maths, someone didnt agree that WA tracks are not a 10

NSW, NT and WA all scored exactly the same. How did you only get one correct?
