Only thing that will put you on the clock and force you to hurry is a spontaneous downpour or shower, very common here in TX 😅

You might try a small experiment first. I would be worried about it not bonding to the original walk. Let me know how it turns out 😀

​@HankBaugh no rebar to hold the cracks together, dry or wet it wont last once it starts to settle and shift.
