    I think PC gamers just aren't satisfied and never will be. Tech companies prey on this and manipulate them into thinking they need better.
    People were satisfied with Xbox 360/PS3 graphics for a long time. Truth be told.
    That 7800 xt that you mentioned, with lowered graphics presets, FSR 3.1 & FG, could run any game at 4k. But, the PC community won't be satisfied. They're just tricked constantly into thinking they need the next best thing.
    I have a RTX 4070 Desktop, RX 7700s Laptop and a PS4. I still play my PS4 more. While still appreciating my PCs.

    Preface: I'm an ex-PC focused gamer, now a PlayStation, Nintendo and PC handheld gamer.
    What you're experiencing is the inevitable realization for PC gamers who arent into burning money on hardware every 2-3 years alongside their electricity bills. A lot of car tuning guys realize this too in the long run.
    Now i focus mostly on the game and expect their to be some sort of performance trade off. Perfection* isn't worth the price. Pro models for consoles and mid tier GPUs (eGPU for PC handhelds and mini-PCs) will give you a great gaming experience.
    Highend PC gaming is not worth the cost unless you think playing {insert videogame title here} at framerates past 60 at 1440-4k is worth spending $400-$800 on hardware every few year. If you had a kid who thought that way, you'd have to talk to them about finances and the value of being a couch potato in comparison to spending that money outside in the real world.

So this is why i pick AMD this tíme and so far i dont regret it and i was scared but so far it great and no matter what gpu you buy but if it Works and you are happy with it thats the point cuz IF you buy overpriced piece of shit just with brand name and dont háve power they tell you it going to háve you fell bad.

    The pricing on the 5090 is probably going to be actually good value. I realize that seems wild when its going to cost so much, but much like the 4090, these top cards are basically professional at this state - aint no gamers needing 32gb of ram. They are monsters. If you are doing production work, or professional usage, then the cost is less than the actual nvidia production cards. The rest of the cards down the stack, yes, they are a scam. I saw the supposed 5080 pricing, and that will be DOA. I really hope AMD's upcoming cards are decent at a good price with plenty of vram - I'll be getting one if they can hit those points. Blackwell is not a gaming focused chip. It's built for Ai and gamers get the leftovers. Even the RTX 5090 is leftovers. It used to be the other way around. The datacenter chips were made with chips that were gaming focused and they were clocked lower but with more VRAM than the gaming cards. The best gaming card was better technically than the best quadro but the quadro was good at other things because nvidia crippled the gaming cards in certain respects using drivers so people would buy the uber expensive quadros.

    Froggy What are you on about? Firstly.... The 7800XT will run 4K for the rest of our life?? So why do you have a 7900XTX?? Wouldn't that be a pointless card if the 7800xt can run 4k perfectly for the next few decades? Secondly, what channels are you watching because... 40 series Nvidia.... The high end got massively slated for its pricing from day 1 and the low end got massively slated for low Vram and poor performance increase, even the 4070 didnt get praised untill the super version. So your very wrong. AMD sends cards out to creators as well as Nvidia does, they do it for maketing and coverage. Also any card above a 4070S or 7800xt blows the consoles out of the water, If you want to see a true comparison between your GPU and your console... on the PC... turn settings down to med-High, no ultra or extreme, the consoles dont use settings that high, render distance needs to be below 75% (being generous) dynamic resolution locked to 60 or 120 depending on your choice on console and for 4K with the PS5 use FSR.P and for the PS5Pro(high) and Series X(med) use FSR.Q. These are the closest to a 1 to 1 with console settings. So you are wrong the 4090 does destroy all consoles in every task. Seems like your point is... Yes Nvidia is the best, but do we need to tell people?! WTF? and the AMD driver issue was a past issue and they were bad, but that was then this is now. Console developed games tend to work better on AMD because that is the architecture it was designed on. And regardless of what you think about RT and DLSS, turn it all off and the 4080S is basically the same as a 7900XTX, at this point the only difference between them is the extra 12gb on the 7900XTX, but... AMD cards do use a little more Vram to acheive the same results and with the 4080S you can turn on the RT and DLSS is way better than FSR. And doesn't matter how you look at it, the 4090 IS 30% faster than the 7900XTX.

    I mean its nvidia. No matter what you or I think they will sell and sell out within minutes to hours of the drop no matter what price they do. Nvidia is way way to big now to even be controlled by the communities opinions. Its that crazy with them and they power they have is that large. They aren't even as worried about use gamers as some may think. They are signing an 8billion dollar deal with Elon musk for 100k ai chips for him. I mean that's how big they are. So they will sell these for whatever they please. But luckily it won't be 3 or 4k like people think. The 5090 will be 1800 which was accidently leaked by zotac trinity which is usually close to the same price as the founders edition. The founders could be idneticla or a little less. Never more then an aib though at launch for more luckily. The 5080 looks like it will be the same price as the 4080. So its not more then most think its less.

    The problem as I see it, are the YT channels who get the latest and greatest for nothing, claim they're independent and are there for their "subscribers" but continue to tell us that the card we spent $700 on 12 months ago now sucks. That we need tensor cores, DLSS 32, frame generation, 512 GB of ram, blah, blah, blah. I have more respect for you, because you actually try both sides of the spectrum and have found a middle ground. All those channels have shown absolute contempt for the console crowd to the point where they regard them as 2nd class citizens. The PC master race has never seemed so true. Most people just want the best performing card for the money they can buy. If the 8800XT is better than the 5070 and the RT performance is what the leaks say they are, it’s gonna do fantastic.
    For anyone that wants more than mid range , you have no choice but Nvidia and whatever price they want to charge. Most people in the high end will go with the $1000 5080, as AMD has no competition for that card this coming gen. The good news is that the AMD 9000 series UDNA1 that’s coming out in 2 years will be back to competing at the high end. (RDNA 4 is the last to be called that,AMD is unifying their arch next gen and going back to the high end).

    I think your missing the power draw argument.
    Take a UE5 game and a 4080 vs 7900xtx.
    Both GPU's running 45 fps 4k no upscale 4080@300w,7900xtx@400w..
    Throw some upscale in and XTX s**ts itself so instead drop to medium and run 4080 with upscale, throw in some frame gen and
    hypothetically were at 120fps but the XTX has taken a hit to visuals, and still pulling 100w more power to do so.
    Go crazy and throw some RT in the mix and 4080 is now back to 60fps but were running 4k max settings with rt at 60 and game looks incredible and were pulling 300w.
    XTX however is at 10fps and pulling 400w and also still has that visual hit...
    If more power means more performance its generally no problem, when more power means less performance its gonna be criticized...
    For vram thats down to the individual to decide, believe it or not some people still decide to purposely play at 1080p or 1440p.
    The 5090 will be pushed into an expensive package, because that silicone cant be put into a $500 package just for gamers when it can be used in a 10k professional gpu, you dont have to like it just understand it..
    That doesn't make it anti gamer, the fact is Nvidia could earn a way more money by just not giving the 5090 silicon to gamers at all..

I remember a time when $650/700 was the absolute top of the stack and $300+ GPUs had a lot of performance for the money. Also, there are the ex-console gamers who got their first real job, have few/no financial obligations and spend all their discretionary income on their PC hardware - that few percent of the market will always exist, and companies like Nvidia will squeeze them as hard as they can, fortunately for them, that tiny minority aren't terribly bright/discerning so they'll put up with a lot.

    Just like Im not a fan of the PS5 Pro, which I wanted to be with my return to the console realm, but I am not gullible enough to fall for the marketing and give money to Sony that isnt deserved on a failed product - I am equally not a fan of the PC world right now to give money to overpriced products that are not that impressive. I remember, for example, when the Nvidia 1080 Ti GPU was an incredible piece of product that was all horse power, well built, & priced properly that still in 2024 can run anything you throw at it. But times have changed for the big 3 players in the market, and "Gullible" is the keyword here. I am and will always be a fan of my wallet and buying tech that is truly innovative and worth all the bang for the buck. But, this is the time we are living in where companies are releasing products that do not deliver for a ridiculous overpriced price, and guess who buys them? Fan boys/girls because they are the easiest to emotionally manipulate. Unless you know 100% for a fact you're making money off all these ridiculous prices for products that dont deliver the bang for the buck, then sure, go ahead and invest because that investment is money in return. But if not, this mess we are in is not of my doing but of people who are too emotionally able to be manipulated.
    I always invest into tech products when the price is right and all of the patches and updates are completed so that I get the best bang for the buck for products that I actually value to do the job well. The continuous wanting to possess something first never has appealed to me, and it never will, for I do not care one bit if someone has something first that I don't have. This is why I personally always get the best tech I need to do the job I need it to be done for a better price that functions way better than it first launched by simply waiting and researching how well the product is. The goal is always save anywhere from $200 to $500 or more on any tech products I need and patience along with credits are the keyword. I own & invested into the 1080 Ti for $499 of its original price, 3080 Ti for $600 of its original price, and now the 4070 Ti super for $525 of its original price. And since I wanted to return to the realm of consoles with the PS5 Pro being a disappointment, I invested into the refreshed PS5 slim digital instead for $299.
    The takeaway is simple: Be a fan of your wallet no matter how much you love a company so they know who runs the show always - you do the customer. Be patient, do the research, wait for a sale, and always build credits for extra cash off any sales you want to snag.

    Think that's what annoyed me when lots say AMD is crap when it's not
    As I said I had a very solid gaming experience on AMD
    I had a night out with two of my cousins Wednesday, one loves Cyberpunk and the other is more into esports, loves football
    So I recommended Nvidia to my Cyberpunk loving cousin and AMD to the football lover cousin
    Thankfully they didn't trash AMD, the cousin who likes Cyberpunk is older than me and said when he used to buy his parts he bought AMD more because it was
    cheaper and he found it to be alright
    I think it depends on how open minded you are really, but you're right Nvidia always will get the most shill even when AMD actually does a solid job imho

    Wow. This video is very subjective, ignores facts, speculates, and makes assumptions about "fake complaining". Nvidia's tech (DLSS, ray tracing, etc.) is objectively and measurably better. That's a fact. Nvidia, in most people's opinion, is overpriced. Nvidia can have superior technology and AMD and Intel can not be trash simultaneously. Those aren't mutually exclusive. I've seen HUB, LTT, GN, Paul's Hardware, JayzTwoCents, and others show the real statistics (objective facts) and still recommend AMD and Intel Arc Battlemage. HUB in particular has been very outspoken about VRAM on Nvidia parts as have Digital Foundry. Nvidia'a ray tracing tech is superior as is their DLSS upscaling tech. Nvidia is also overpriced and sometimes anti consumer and shady in their business practices. AMD and Intel have also been anti consumer. None of these companies are your friend. Watch multiple reviews, read multiple sources, and make the decision that works for your use case. This video is sensational and at times nonfactual.

    Honestly, i do understand the console point of him. When i built my pc back in days with a 7900x3d and a 4070 super i was expecting magic like 4k and high to extreme setting but it was more like a 1440p dlss balanced and high settings. In that case just get a ps5 pro. It looks very neat on a 4k screen. Also pssr looks better than fsr 3.1 already and its just come out. When i upgraded to my 4080 super than i was more on the place where i wanted to be but than the question is it really wort 3k ? Maybe yes maybe no. Or just grab a pro console and enjoy playing.
    I rather would take a console than get a mid range pc with 7800xt or 4070 super.

      @ exactly for a much lower price. £650in uk and a mid gen pc what u can upgrade down the line will be £1400 minimum and u will have to tweak the setting all the time to run the game over 60fps. Thats why the pro can compete there.

Consoles use dynamic resolution at all times, and rarely stay at 1440p let alone 4K :O plus the upscaling ontop of that. Consoles do not run Native 4K

    The AMD driver issue some notes. In 2023 they where solid. But 2024 had been a mess. And this is not coming from a random person. AMD themselves have listed 2 dozen games released this year that had crashing issues in driver patch notes. They have listed tons more with issues revolving around Volumetrics, transparency effects and global illumination.
    I do agree we should look at real world use case. People looking at "native" raster only benchmarks is dated and ignorant...
    If a 4070 Super at 1440p DLSS quality has better image quality and performance than a 7900 xtx at 1440p "native". That should be taken into account. And that's before we turn on RT. That 4070 Super can get 60fps at 1440p high with high hardware RT settings DLSS quality in games like Black Myth Wukong, Indiana Jones ECT. Now I get the xtx could turn on fsr and regain the performance lead, but then it's losing by an even larger gap in image quality. Then then 4070 Super could drop to DLSS balanced even the performance out and still look better.
    PC gaming is a balance of performance and image quality. One company gives and option that improves both at the same time
    Not having dedicated AI or RT cores is hurting the aging of AMD cards more than the extra vram is helping. Go to Techpowerup look up some recent current gen only titles. Games like Silent Hill 2, Black Myth Wukong, Veilguard, GoWR, Star Wars Outlaws. You'll see the 12gb 4070 super crushing the GRE. It's very close and sometimes surpassing the 20gb 7900xt in these recent titles. AMD skimping on basic modern hardware is making them age like milk. If the 2060 and b580 can have basic hardware then why can't the xtx.

    • @frogboyx1Gaming
      @frogboyx1Gaming  3 дня назад

      Okay so what if I told you I could run my 7900XTX at 4k 60fps use AFMF to get to a stable 120fps at 9ms of latency then downsample to 1440p that would look better and run better than the 4070 super

    • @Sp3cialk304
      @Sp3cialk304 3 дня назад

      @frogboyx1Gaming I would say you don't understand how frame generation works and you would be getting significantly worse image quality with breakup, ghosting and the issues of everything being under any HUD element being rendered at native frame rate when using fluid motion frames. And these HUD elements are often transparent and cover large sections of the screen. And it's not just that they are off synced being half the frame rate it also creates a shimmering glowing edge.
      I like having good image quality. I'm not going to race to the bottom destroying image quality in everyway possible just to make an xtx have equal performance quality and image quality to a much cheaper GPU.

    • @Sp3cialk304
      @Sp3cialk304 3 дня назад

      Natively at 120fps the best case frame time is 8-9ms. That's with zero other system or input latency. Typically you'd be around 20ms with reflex at that frame rate, 50ms without. But fluid motion frames you will be at your native 60fps latency. Which would be 16ms best case. Typically close to 60ms total system latency (30ms with reflex).
      Frame time and latency are not the same thing. A frame time chart at 120fps would show 8-9ms. But that's the time between frames, not the system latency.
