Just coming back to this on the heels of Colin’s recent departure announcement. Terrific playthrough- I ordered this game immediately after watching this video and it’s a cornerstone of my collection!
Another great video as usual, Collin. The artwork is gorgeous and the big cards let us see it in detail. Love that RPG feel of upgrading your deck. The only downside I see is needing multiple games for co op.
Really enjoyed the playthrough. I watched your LOTR LCG playthroughs and play it myself, and I really like how simple this game is compared to it (in that there arent allies and attachments everywhere!)
Great play through! I absolutely love this game! I find it so cool to see that these cards are also in Gloom/Shadows of Kilforth. Those games are amazing! It makes sense though because this game is in the Kilforth world. There is an expansion for Veilwraith that has alternative art that replaces the racy images with more conservative look lol Also you had mentioned you found it funny that some threats will benefit you *Healer; Deja are not evil just there presence hurts the Veilwraith. I have had a lot of fun playing this game on Tabletopia! Can not wait for my copies!
Hi Colin, that was great fun thanks. Love games that provide tension as this playthrough had. So close at the end. I think that point of Spirit from the Healer you missed would have kept you in the game? I remember seeing Ricky's playthrough. Really like the way the cards are rotated and moved up and down the values. Nice tactical mechanism. Thanks again All the best Paul
Recently I got my hands on Shadows of Kilforth and I have to say I love this game (thanks for the playthroughs you convinced me to buy). This is what I'm looking for in solo games. I can see a lot of artwork in Veilwrath is the same as in other Kilforth games. I'm also thinking about getting this one as it's shorter and simpler (not easier) game so good timing! Am I becoming Tristan Hall fan :P
I disagree with some of the comments. I think the black and white is appropriate for the theme. The world ended. It is empty, dark, and lifeless. But despite that, I still see the beauty and detail in each art. It’s really fitting.
One thing that unfortunately turns me off GREATLY with the black n white art used in this game and in Cryptic Explorers, is that this isn't inked black and white art. It's almost like someone drew and colored a nice piece of art... And then decided to print it out on a piece of paper using the no colors settings. The look and vibe is completely lost if the art was never intended to be black and white or monochrome.
Sadly black and white colors like this turn me off. Maybe its intentional or they just found away around cheapening on materials but hopefully the gameplay draws some ppl in.
Sorry, but I just don't get this game. The tone of your voice is far less excited than your Kilforth playthrough too, sounds like you are just going through the motions. I was keen on picking up Gloom after watching but now second-thinking that since this looks so dull. Sorry...!
I’m new to Veilwraith but thanks so much for your video. I picked up 4 to 5 things I did not understand or have logged away in my memory. Great!

stunning artwork!
Awesome (as usual), Colin, but... 2 years after -
What are your thoughts of this game?
Does it meet the table or no longer in your collection?
Yes I have it still! I don't play it enough but that's more because I'm always playing different games. I really like this one!
I've been watching your videos lately to make decisions on my collection I just started, so thanks and keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for watching! Hope you are building a good library!

I agree with you on that! I actually really want to try coop!
Thanks for the video this game is really hard. Glad to watch your playtrough and see you struggle with the boss too xD
Oh I haven't beaten him yet! I need a better strategy!! Thanks for watching!
Great video! Saved for when my game hopefully fulfills in February-ish. Definitely a fan of your channel and Tristan Hall!
I'm with you thanks for watching!

I get you thanks for watching!!
Best graphics ever in my opinion.... I ordered the game only after seeing some images on Google....
Nice!! Glad you like it!!
There is an Alt art pack that is supposed to be more family friendly-anyone know of images with that pack?
I just got it! Doesn't fix everything but certainly helps!
Soooo close but another awesome video!
Thanks for watching! Just got my final version excited to play it!!
@@OneStopCoopShop nice ! This seems a very interesting game. Look forward to any other videos you have with it!

Hmmm didn't even notice but I understand what you are saying!
looks interesting
It certainly is!!
Great game, great atmosphere! After the 20 vignette (scenarios) I have tried a personal custom vignette and I'd like to share it, if someone wants to try it....(vignette title: Sexy Ghosts)

Sadly black and white colors like this turn me off. Maybe its intentional or they just found away around cheapening on materials but hopefully the gameplay draws some ppl in.
I think it's the theme as this is a dream world. Thanks for watching!
