I agree. At first I assumed they were normal Diamond pockets--around 4.5". Now after watching several matches I think they are more like 4.75". Even allowing for slippery cloth, some balls went in that surprised me.
timed matches. if they were 4 games each or 5 games each there would have been a 6 ball shootout. that is why i myself personally prefer the 'best out of' format instead of 'race to' format. and best out of 7 is ussually only a 20 minute match. must also mention i only play amatuer not profesional like these guys that do it full time.
Why use blue chalk on grey cloth? Especially master chalk. It just never made any sense to me tbh. Master is also super dirty unlike Taom. It would honestly make more sense to use something cleaner like Taom or chalk that matches the table colour like KO brothers grey chalk, G2 grey chalk, and Kamui Kageki chalk. Oh well I guess since it seems the master never got on the table itself.
Masters still has great quality in regards to cueing. But as dirty as it is, I bought taom last November and never run masters again. I spent two hours a week cleaning the table and equipment, now I go three weeks or more. Incredible difference. $20 vs 50 cents, yep, worth every dollar.
I mean, Masters has the sentimental value to it. Sure, it may not be the best chalk, but it’s the chalk every American player grew up with. I mean, Shane Van Boening won the 8-ball world championship using only Masters chalk, so it still holds up.
@@zanethind That's a mistake or a confusion/conflation of the term international. SVB won the World 8 Ball Championship last year and they were playing call pocket.
I’ve been waiting so long for ultimate pool to come to America!! Sheppy, magician, and topcat are my favorites across the pond
These are great fast paced matches
Glad to see they fixed his name in the first frame. They had it on the TV screen at his chair and on the footer on the screen as DUEL
We all have those days! Interesting match for sure.
Corey is getting to be on old fella. Like this guy
14:08 best break of the whole match. Good job Shane. 17:10 Corey's best break in this match by far.
The cueball control vs players like Gorst or Filler... the differences are monumental.
So is their Fargo- like 50 points
Or 70 points…you get it…those 2 players are ( w FSR ) the difference
Those pockets are huge!!

what's the deal with the overall clock that gave Corey the win? Never seen this rule before

what cue is corey using now?
His cue was lost by the airline so he had to borrow a friends. I'm not sure what it is though
@@LBos17 oh damn. Although Corey has always switched between wood and carbon interchangeably
I believe it's a Meucci cue
Commentating over these guys like it’s good players is a joke to the game

are shots required to be called?
In other American 8 ball rules yes but they are following international 8 ball rules which don't require calling
@@zanethind International rules require the pocket to be called. They are playing English or British rules which doesn't require pockets to be called.
@@davidellis7238 right but they said that internationa 8 ball rules they don't need to call the pocket

New shaft for Corey ? Where’s the piece of plastic he use to use on the shaft of his cue?
@31:41 looks like Shane wanted to have a brawl with Corey.
u reaching like fuk
Really uninspiring play by Corey. He has the skills and knowledge to win this tournament but seems to lack the passion.
To be fair, that's a lot of players. That why there's only one winner!
I thought Corey duel died like 10 yrs ago?!?!? 😅
Mandela effect
You are from another timeline, lol
