Hard Love??? Jesus Said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Ect. And My yoke is easy and My burden is light." This song is ruined for me with the teaching of God's Love, being "a Hard Love!?!" Nowhere in The Bible does it say God's Love is "HARD." YET SO MANY, EXCEPT THIS MAN AND BAND'S LIE!!! This is like calling good, evil and evil, good. It's the test and trial's our sinful selves and satan inflicts on us, that is hard, then Jesus's Love comes to rescue us when we call on Him in that hard state of being, with His Divine Love that Heals and restores. I am appalled that anyone would even say His Awesome Love, is hard!!! The Lord's carpentress 🎸🎼

This song is written this way because to love God means that we will endure great tests, even death for loving Him. It better reflects James 1:2, "Consider it all my brothers, when you face trials of all kinds." Even though we face hard times, we endure it with joy because it is His love.

The burden of SIN not the burden of LIFE. They are two different concepts. The very fact that God has us dwelling on this earth marred by Adam’s sin is hard in of itself. Growth is hard. Hard love moves you to change when you do not want to. Hard love leads you to forgive when you are crushed. Only then are you able, God’s Grace makes it easier but that does negate the fact it is HARD.
