Just discovered a new J-Bass at a boot sale last weekend, bought it on a total whim; I never touched a bass before .... I'm 64... Then I discovered Harry and I'm enthused to learn to play it. Thanks for your videos, you're what makes RUclips so great!
I just got started at 40; Harry's helped me so much! Thanks Harry!
Started in 80, played in a band for a few years,am 65 now, my white Fender P, my favorite, PLAY ON. I like this song, that's why I watched. Good playing Harry. Play on elders :)
Any news on how far you’ve come?
hey! how is it going?
And commenters like you are what inspires me! I was looking at bass covers, nervous at 20 as to whether I should even try myself, but if you can do it I shouldn’t be thinking twice.
I just learned 90% of the song in about 5 minutes! Thanks for helping out us newish bassists man!
3:05 is just badass
You could say..... its babass
Sorry
@@The_Copper_Element_Itself made my day
favorite part.
this is formula 1
Love the way you put the tab at the top of the screen. I wish everyone did this. It makes pausing and learning so much easier. Thank you!
Excellent video! Tab is accurate and production value is great! Thanks for making it easier to learn cover tunes. Cheers! :D
Been looking for this quality for a long time! Finally found it! Love this video, and every thing about it!
OMG AMAZING VIDEO!!!! I'VE BEEN TRYING TO LEARN THIS SONG FOR MONTHS BUT COULD NEVER FIND A GOOD VIDEO UNTIL TODAY!! THANK YOU!!!
Awesome cover man. I learned a simpler way of playing this song long ago. Just stumbled on this video, and this is how I'll play it from now on. Appreciate the upload
This Bassline is just beautiful…
Hell yeah. Thanks for this one, man!
Love it so so much. I cant stop listening to it!
This is amazing! Very well played, and certainly helped me out a ton. Thanks!
Same here
You are straight throwing away that slide. Throwing it outta there. Epic man
I love "The Chain", by Fleetwood Mac. You should do "Go Your Own Way", another awesome Fleetwood Mac song.
Or Landslide
@@RitchieMusic *"Landslide"?* Is there a bass line for that song?
@@jasoncarpp7742 I would think so... I guess your guess is as good as mine... Let's fine out.... Hey Harry! Does Landslide have a Bass line? 😂😂
@@RitchieMusic I've never heard *"Landslide"* played with a bass. When I think of *"Landslide",* it's either played on acoustic guitar or keyboard, or both.
Fair enough...It would appear you are correct, what threw me off is someone did a bass cover of it with vocals... 😂😂😂
I love this song and I love the bass 😭😭
Man I love that instrument so much. It’s like a growl
How am I JUST seeing this now? I subscribed to your channel a year ago when I first started playing. Thanks, SO much!
That was brilliant. Not a huge Fleetwood Mack fan but love this song.
This is awesome man. Thanks!
I’ve fell in love with your bass
Thank You Harry! I am a beginner and I have learned a lot from your videos!
John McVie really knows how to make a nice bass line, he is amazing!! 😀👍
Pretty awesome. Great work on such a wonderful song.
I love that bass boosted ! so great
Nice. Great Group, Badass Tune, Monster BASSLINE. They go in during the Guitar Solo. It's a Smoker.
Just a badass song. Badass bass. Good cover.
A very fitting tribute to Christine VcMie, RIP and thank you for the music.
Thank you so much for this. Awesome!
Such a great beginner bass song to learn. Great groove and not difficult.
That deep breath at the end; I felt that 😁
3:05 🤘😈🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
What were all waiting for 😎✌️💯
Well done 🤘 beautiful bass❤️
just found this channel, this is awesome. you have a new sub
You da man Harry ! Thank you.
53 when i started 18 months in, Harry helped a lot
Spot on !
Instant follow!
It's one of those tracks/tunes that sounds easy BUT isn't to get right!
Great lesson Bro ! BTW your bass is gorgeous.......
great! thank you so much :)
Nice .. thanks so much !
Thanks Harry, needs some fine tuning, but I’ve pretty much nailed it! I can actually play a whole song! Really appreciate your help, subscribed and working on Folsom Prison Blues now. Dig the soundproof wall as well, groovy! 🤟😎🎸
Great lesson!
Thank you Clarke! :)
Amazing!
Such an honor to see you here Green Teletubby! Any chance of Tinky Winky or Laa-Laa coming here as well? :-)
Harry - Music & Stuff unfortunately no, they’re busing making tubby custard, meanwhile I’m learning some sweet bass licks
Tubby custard :-D! Bass is much better choice!
Yeah dude, I talked Whit a friend about some of the best Bass and I brought up this song, definitely gonna send him this
at 0:54 is when the tabs start. I am no where near my bass and did awesome for the first 19 bars
the real test begins at bar 67 😭 i must keep practicing this until i get, this is what bass is all about right here, fucking holding down the ryhtem
*EDIT* For those who are struggling, i got better at this by using my 2 finger on the 2nd fret and my 3 finger on the 3rd fret, as opposed to using your 1 finger on the 2nd fret and 2 finger on the first fret. Once I made that change, this section got much easier to play...
Don't really know why it makes a difference, but it does, big time!
it's too fucking difficult
I wish more of the bass lines I love could be so manageable
3:05 🥵🥴😍😍
I can play this
Agree
eu amo muito essa música
Merci !!! 👍👍!
My mom let me see this video and i was amazed
damn Harry ima sub right now
This song is what convinced me to buy a bass
me too
That is one sweet ass bass. Love the grain and colors. Did you search for that or it just fall into your hands? Nice job on the song too. thanks.
With songs that fade out at the end, I’ve always wanted bands to try and mimic that live hahaha!
here for the BBC F1 theme @3:04. And it's GO! GO! GO!
Please do Fleetwood mac's tusk next! :D
Love your cover!
the album info is wrong below the video. And believe it or not, that song opens the show The Dance. on Tusk, the USC Marching band comes in before the 3 min. mark
TUSK!
Cool Vintages reissue bass!
Laura Lee plays one in Kruangbin.
never underestimate the chain on bass
*Stir it up* Bob Marley, would love to learn that tune on this channel.
Man could you do a tutorial on "Over My Head" one day? Great work friend 👏
Half of this video is just Harry sitting there hitting the bass
😂😂😂
Lov u
3:03 Reminds me of the Formula 1 intro in the 80s
Nice. Old F1 theme.
I really struggled to play part of this and I found Julia Hofer over on Thomann's Guitars played this song with tabs and I found her version much easier to play and it sounded more like the original. For anyone else out there struggling like I was. The chorus is still accurate though - the rest of the song not so much in my opinion.
It's sad with so many "Best of" bass lines forget the bass solo of Fleetwood Mac "the Chain." Without that solo, it's like something's missing.
Awesome music and stuff!! I think I am in love with you. Can you please try Rusted Root - Send Me On My Way?
Thank you so much Nika! I am really glad you like it. And like me I guess? :-) I absolutely love that song! I'll try my best.
I also love the song, it´s one of my favourites actually! :-) Thank you I can´t wait to see it!
@@HarryMusicStuff hey, did you notice that the album information is incorrect below the video? and the full song is almost 5 min. long
You probably came here for 3:03, admit it.... and if you're using the sheet and not the tab, remember it's in E-minor (one sharp in key signature).
Do u have the music score or tabs? I don’t see it on patreon?
I just started trying to learn bass (my first instrument since piano lessons 40 years ago). People were asking why I was learning a 5-string. "It matches the sound I hear in my head," was all I could say.
No. It matches THIS sound. Apparently, I've been looking to recreate The Chain my whole life.
My man found himself in bass. This is some high tier life goal
Normally I don't say stuff like this, but THAT was FKN EH!
i haven't seen harry's face before because this is my second time watching his video
3:04
You have to sit out for half the song, but damn is the other half worth it
🥰😍🥰
0:54
Oooh, I didn't realise what it's like when you stop. That sounds rude, but I mean bar 28, when the bass stops it's almost a note of its own.
Harry could you do silver springs please?
the best part 3:04
0:54 - first part
2:10 - second part
2:48 - third part
Goodluck everyone!❤️🔥
3:03 i'm here because of 3:03

Your video got me interested in these Vintage basses. Does yours have a thumb rest? I've noticed that some of the VJ74NATs I've seen have them and some don't. How do you like the bass?
Omg finally I don't know why but I thin this video was banned
Ik that intro theme from somewhere🧐😂😂
Should I use a pick?
Up to you really
I use one like 75 percent of the time
