An enchanting, spellbinding song from the best album they ever made, the magnificent AMOLAD, the epic, gorgeous melodies on accoustic guitar, the truth and depth of the lyrics, the tension, tragedy, anticipation, force and the amazing interpretation by Bruce, all of it......and Iron Maiden rise the song to the heights of magic....
A phenomenal and bewitching masterpiece from their sensational album AMOLAD, it´s absolutely breathtaking and their supremecy is clearly shown in every note, every move...this song is magic and utter genius, all around....
I love it how their new stuff continues to be bloody awesome, and sits right in there with their old classics. Gotta love Maiden. This song is amazing , love it.
A magnificent and gorgeous masterpiece, a jewel in their discography in its own right....and if anyone ever left a legacy, it will be the metal ICONS, Iron Maiden......
Some of my favorite lines from any Iron Maiden song. For me, this album as a whole is one of their best lyrically. You lie in your deathbed now. But what did you bring to the table? Brought us only holy sin. Utter trust is a deadly thing. To the prayer of holy peace. We didn't know what was lying underneath. So how can we be such fools? And to think that we thought you the answer.
Listen, just listen....this is beyond euphoria, far beyond...nobody can ever dispute the immense talent and techniques of this group of musicians, it´s simply overwhelming....Iron Maiden the masters of music, any genre, any era, any time are indeed the EPITOME of metal music !!!
Epic masterpiece, the brilliance and grandeur of this magnificent is song is beyond euphoria, far beyond....the true metal ICONS rise the song to the heights of Magic, and theese phenomenal guys are unmatched, untouched and comparable to none, absolutely none......Iconic and utter genius, all around !!!
Yes, I feel like they gain more skill over the years and the music sounds heavier and more epic. Plus Bruce's voice over the year just gets better and better.
An IMMORTAL masterpiece, a jewel in their discography in its own right from the best album they ever made, the phenomenal AMOLAD....and if ANYONE ever left a legacy, it would be our true metal ICONS, the Iron Maiden....
Agreed. They do history tours if you just want classics--and they are amazing. But this tour and album were as good as anything they've ever done and the Final Frontier tour was incredible too as you can see on En Vivo!
I agree with cello3... Been into maiden since early 80s and I LOVE the new stuff. its a little different, but if I was to listen to any other metal/progressive band today, they still can't compare to the lyrics and musicality of iron maiden...So why not listen to the band that has the best sound, best bass playing, best singing, best solos, and best attitude toward their fans... Up the IRONS!!!
you´re completly right. though i´ve been listeing to maiden for 4 years, at first i judged that since BNW the next albums would be horrible BUT they´re not... they are GREAT
For the first leg, yes. A Matter of Life and Death followed by Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, 2 Minutes to Midnight, The Evil That Men Do and Hallowed Be Thy Name.
DIdn't they play the entire album on the tour at each venue? i would have LOVED to see them for this tour. its my favorite album from the 2000 era.. I think this was their best effort since the 80s... IMO of course..
Seriously how people can't like the new stuff ? Ure telling me caught somewhere in time, the legacy, the pilgrim, dance of death and many others aren't as good as the old maiden songs ? Then sorry to tell u this, ure not really a hardcore maiden fan
+0mr Bel Caught Somewhere in Time is almost 30 years old lol. Anyway, I agree. I think their new albums are great. The Book of Souls is just fantastic!
Omr Bel you´ve got it, to be honest I love their progressive music the most, from the BNW album and onwards. And the best album they ever made is indeed the iconic AMOLAD, also you mentioned my two all time favourites of all their incredible music : Dance of Death and the Legacy.....
can't believe they played all these complicated songs live !
This song is more hearthmoving than so many "peace on earth" songs. Its so much deeper.
A phenomenal and bewitching masterpiece from their sensational album AMOLAD, it´s absolutely breathtaking and their supremecy is clearly shown in every note, every move...this song is magic and utter genius, all around....

I don't want to die without watching this song live at least once!

Light performance is great ... as the band!!! Cheers!!!
Omg this song kicks ass. So heavy and great lyrics
they need to play this again sometime, I've been to one concert (NYC, 7/12/10) and sadly they didn't play it

Sing it Bruce!!!!
I have to add--that harmonized guitar riff starting at about 6:30 is just Maiden at their absolute finest.
MUY BUENA CANCION
para los verdaderos fans de Maiden estos videos con tan mal sonido valen oro
El sonido es bastante bueno considerando el año y como se grabó

I was at this show .. Everyone was complaining after . Someone actually threw a sign on stage which said play classics which Bruce Ripped
"Guitar solo starts... let's focus anything else"
2:55 - 3:20
exactly!!!bruce's voice bacame more "operatic" and the music style more "complicated" more progressive...
