#RolandGarros - Спорт
Only 4 men have 14 or more slams. Nadal has 14 at just the French Open. Its mind blowing. This record will never be broken. Looking at all the injuries he had to battle with throughout his career, and the slams he has missed makes his record phenomenal. I used to dislike him because he troubled Federer a lot, but I began to appreciate and respect him a lot the past few years. He's also very humble and well behaved. I wish he recovers from his injuries and compete at this year's French Open.
totally agree! He's such a good role model for everyone. I was a huge Fed fan growing up and it bothered me that Nadal kept beating him on clay and then on hard courts and grass. Now I see Nadal for what he is - a tennis legend.
Djoko will break this record at the AO. Sure
@@iamrips2132too late. Sinner has arrived. Djokovic will be lucky to win even one more Australian open
Nadal at rg is the single greatest domination in all of sports
The hardest challenge in Tennis history. It’s only fitting that Novak conquered the feat twice.
@@jadenw-d5562 Novak has made himself the most complete all court player in history.. beating Nadal twice at the French is out of this world, and Novak plays that well or better on all surfaces.
In all of Nadal's 3 losses at the French he was partly injured though. He has never lost there when he's fully fit. Most dominant player on a single surface that there is.
@@jadenw-d5562In 2015 most of the top 10 could’ve beaten Rafa imo. But 2021 was undeniably an epic feat by Novak.
@@SJ-di5zu Yeah but it was undermined by the fact Nadal was injured and then took the rest of the season and 6 months off from the tour due to that injury. That’s what sucks at times. It’s like when someone beats Novak but then it’s because he has an elbow injury or was sick. Doesn’t feel like a real win. But it is regardless.
@@foxtrotwhisky4061 no need to lie, only in 2 of them nadal was injured
I watch anything with Rafael Nadal in it. I don't care how old it is, I just want to see him again. Hang on, Rafa, you can continue to make history at FO24.
Same bro
If Thiem was in any other era I really think he could have had 4 or 5 slams. Nadal Federer and Djoker were just from another planet. Really puts into perspective how good Wawrinka and Murray were.
I don't think it would have mattered because it was his injuries that let him down after reaching the peak, In my opinion if he plays the game with accordance to his injuries he could be at the top again but he would have to change his game style by a lot which will affect his current position too.
One last time, 2024, Rafa please! ❤

He already has many titles
To play against Nadal at Roland Garros is like to activate God mode in a tennis videogame.
The final BOSS in RG finals. Nightmare for his opponent 😅
The picture is from 2019 final guys, not 2018
Yeah unless Rafa changed outfits before the match lol. The 2019 final was a much better match
@@a_goblue2023 the two first sets were greats, but then it was over : 6/1 6/1
No it’s not, thiem wore that kit in 2018
@@joshuakriegler8013 yes because they now has change the picture, it's the right one, but few ours ago it was from the 2019 final.
It doesn’t matter. They have 14 pictures to shuffle between.
Nadal's footwork shaping up for the huge forehand down the line at 9:50 is just unbelievable. Even past his prime, plays like this show you why he's a deserved 14 time champion.
When people ask what makes up Nadal’s success, obviously there’s a lot of answers. But I notice a lot of people gravitate towards his defense, or his speed. No. It’s his footwork and his forehand, both he’s arguably the GOAT at. He can run around any backhand and hit a forehand anywhere on the court, and his forehand is one of the scariest shots in tennis history. His speed helps a lot in that he’s able to recover out of his backhand corner very well, and his backhand is very reliable which discourages opponents from using the “hit to his backhand” strategy, so those things help a lot, but Nadal’s forehand and footwork are everything. His game is built around it. He hits serves to set up the forehand.
My opinion about Nadal's 2018 season is this: it was one of the best years of Rafael Nadal in terms of his game and his overall completeness, ruined only by two injuries that forced him to break twice.
He has had the highest percentage of winning matches (almost 92%) and he showed the most aggressive tennis game of his life, especially in Wimbledon, which was his best grass tournament played by him, even if he didn't win it (biggest regret for me as his fan). Roland Garros was absolutely great.
2018 season genuinely could’ve been one of Rafa’s best seasons of his career if not for his health. So unlucky to get injured at both hard court slams. At AO, Roger wasn’t playing that well, and I think Rafa could’ve beaten him in the final. As for USO, the match against Djokovic would’ve been 50/50, but Nadal’s draw was horrible. Djokovic cruised to the final without playing anyone good, while Nadal struggled through Thiem, Khachanov, and Del Potro.
People always say Nadal’s 2017 draw was weak, but Djokovic’s 2018 draw was just as weak if not weaker.
And yeah that Wimbledon SF was a heartbreaker. I think the third set tiebreak was the big chance he bottled, but also that passing shot by Novak deep in the fifth set when Rafa had break point, I forget exactly which game but he would’ve served for the match.
@@SJ-di5zu Also the roof was closed. If it wasnt Nadal takes it
This was needed.. release all the finals of Nadal 😮💨
I remember watching this match live.
In the third set, when Rafa started having problems with his left hand fingers, I thought of it as an injury and was literally like "oh god please no! Only 4 games left to win the before the championship is ours. No injury please!" 😅
Pure art on clay from The King of tennis
The crazy thing is this is Nadal at max 60-70% at his A game right now. And he still look unplayable
Hope to see rafa in this form in RG this year❤
9:50
No one ever can move like that, what a tremendous footwork
He Is dancing on that CLAY!
There is no one on tour today who can beat this dominic.
And the 2019.2020 dominic was even stronger than this.
But Rafa couldn't win...Rafa is God.
Nostalgia is kicking way too hard man, chill a bit
Merci❤❤
luv frm nepal

I've been waiting for years to appear on RUclips the 2007 final
Great game by Rafa.🎉
The King of Clay 👑
Unfortunate for Thiem but he wasn't just playing against the king of clay but the god of clay...these things tend to happen.
Man I miss this Thiem ❤
Me too
classic match? this was domination
I feel it's a classic. Thiem played extremely well. Nadal is just something else.
I think it was final that is the reason
La miniature est celle de la finale 2019 de RG et non pas celle de 2018. En parlant du match ça me rappelle le Thiem Goatesque c'est magnifique. Vive le tennis ce sport est magique.
speak in english
The happy moment have passed, but I’ve still regret it
Roland Garros RUclips Channel why did you the change the music ?
La photo sur la miniature est la finale de 2019, pas 2018.
Thiem deserved to be there. He was the most dangerous player to Nadal.
Nadal-Djokovic final 2014 now please
Once upon a thiem !!!!!!!
3 sets to 0 at this Thiem is absurd, Nadal is the best player ever on clay
From 2016 - To Date..
Only Novak & Rafael Have Won F.O..
how did their arms stay on
Comment se fait il que Thiem qui a fait deux finales de RG contre Nadal et se défend fort bien, ait pratiquement disparu du paysage?? Quelqu'un a t'il une explication...
Thumbnail from wrong year.
Nadal ❤❤❤ and Novak ❤❤❤❤❤
*Nadal vs Wawrinka 2017 Men's final | Roland-Garros Classic Match*
Philippe Chatrier Stadium needs some of that beautiful green back. Court used to looked so good. Nowadays it looks so boring all white.
the 2019 final was def better
I want to see a healthy nadal beating alcaraz & djokovic at FO 2024
Yeah but at his age he dont want to risk his body by playing both .. Djokovic vs alcaraz in Roland Garros rematch and the winner want to face rafa
@@Laland_1196 as rank 1 djoko & rank 2 alcaraz, nadal got no option left.
@@kamal_antil yeah i forgot that but i think before clay ,sinner will replace alcaraz as no 2 so I think djoke vs alcaraz in semis
@@Laland_1196 hope so
@14:53 if you see your opponent lining up backwards and sideways that fast and hitting a inside-out forehand like that, you better leave the court 😂
Nadal >> DJOKOVIC
Nadal has no shanghais why?
@@liamcannon9617because he won madrid indoors
Saying 2018 final and putting 2019 final in the cover photo :D
Classic match lol. Thiem got annihilated.
Thiem has nice asa
3-0 m ky ghanta classic
What happened with D.Thiem since 2020 he forgot how to play tennis 🎾 😢😢😢😢
Guys i think i can beat a 100% fit nadal at RG final
France ====>>> Mr. ra..Nadal ( 1 ) @. I'm Vietnam's.
Really wished Thiem won.

Winning #15, at his age, after last year, with his current physical troubles, would be one of the most legendary ends of career of all times
Dites-vous wimbledon ou british open ?
En tout cas ici c’est Roland Garros, pas french open 😃
