This brings back memories. I remember being used to playing NHL 94 on SNES and being blown away by the graphics of this game when it came out. The sound effects still hold up very well, considering it's 20 years old. Menu music was kick ass too!

I played this game SOO many hours with my friend. I managed to make my own no-cd hack for this game by analyzing the exe file using a ASCII editor I made in pascal. The files that were supposed to run from the cd had one number in front and the files that were on the HDD had another number. I just changed all to the same number for HDD access and was amazed it worked. One of my greatest achievements LOL.

This was the final appearance of the Quebec Nordiques and the original Winnipeg Jets.

Been trying to get this game to fully work for almost 30 years. Still cant lol. Nothing on the internet helps, sadly. The game has always worked but, no sound. And on Dosbox, no sound, and no crowd, its just black outside of the rink.

Certain games require original hardware unfortunately. This one may be one of them.

The video was recorded through dosbox... If I recall correctly we played with a full version brought to ISO file.

I wonder if there is any ice hockey game which features/includes women's teams.

Trusteft Interesting question... I would extend in general to any sport, I think I just remind some Volley simulation (or beach volley), but no other sports simulation featuring women...

Squakenet I don't know the title, but there was an arcade game, volleyball which had women teams. Indoor proper volleyball, not beach volley. I wish I could remember the title but I only played it a couple of times, one evening, back in the late 80s.

The modern EA NHL series allows you to make female players.
